Montgomery County Speedway Results for July 16, 2005

NEW FLORENCE, MO (July 18, 2005) –-Montgomery County Speedway fans were treated to an exciting night of racing on the high banked ¼ mile facility. In the UMP Budweiser Late Models Bryan Collins and Steve Shive won their heat races, with Shive taking the dash.

Once the feature was started Ed Dixon started to work his way from his tenth place starting position towards the front. At the midway point in the feature Dixon was able to pass Collins for the lead. Ed Dixon held on to lead to take the checkered in mid-season championship event and also collected the $100 bounty by beating Bryan Collins in the feature event.

At the end of the 30 lap mid-season championship the top five were 1. 16a Ed Dixon, 2. 11z Bryan Collins, 3. 33p Keith Pratt, 4. 2j Dave Jumper, 5. 22g Steve Grotz.

In the UMP Miller A-Modifieds mid-season championship feature event Rusty Griffaw was able to hold off Leroy Haney and Timmy Hill to pick up his third feature win in a row. There is still an unclaimed bounty on Rusty Griffaw for $100 to anyone that can beat him in a feature event.

Timmy Hill picked up a $100 bonus from the Columbia, MO Knights of Columbus for his 3rd place finish.

Rounding out the top five was 1. 16 Rusty Griffaw, 2. 14 Leroy Haney, 3. 13 Timmy Hill, 4. C6 Ray Baker, 5. 14c Rick Conoyer

In the B-Modified division mid-season championship Craig Roden continued on his winning way by picking up his fourth feature win in a row. There is still an unclaimed $100 bounty to anyone that can beat Craig Roden in the feature event.

Rounding out the top five for B-Modified feature was 1. 27 Craig Roden, 2. 57 Dan Bimson, 3. 17k Brian Kinnaird, 4. 33 Jerry Dean, 5. 21 Randy Dickman.

Action in the Pepsi Super Street division saw another great Super Street feature event as point leader Ron Imm squared off with 2nd place in points Daryl Dodge. Ron Imm collided with a lap car early in the race to end his night. Daryl Dodge then had to hold off the hard charging Beau Davis and Kenny Harris to pick up the mid-season championship victory.

Rounding out the top five in the Pepsi Super Street division was 1. 18 Daryl Dodge, 2. 01 Beau Davis, 3. 69 Kenny Harris, 4. 8 Steve Edgecomb, 5. 18L Buddy Lowry.



In the RAMS Mini Stock division Wes Kintz picked up his 2nd feature win of the season leading flag to flag to pick up the mid-season championship victory.



Rounding out the top five in the RAMS Mini Stock division was 1. 90 Wes Kintz, 2. 01 Rob Denny, 3. 20 Jack Tschannon, 4. 343 Butch Hartman, 5. 29 Brian LaGarce.
