montgomery motorsports park/ casey pearson

Once again Casey Pearson. Makes NO financial decisions and absolutely made NO phone calls to anyone as he is just.
a volunteer. Any phone calls that were. Made must. Have. Come from randy or some of his other. Personell . So race 88 or whoever put the post on here about Casey calling him is false. As I have stated once before Casey has NOT called. Anyone. Randy Matlock makes. All decisions. Ty. Terri pearson

randy called me and said he was dropping the class. but in the end it makes no difference the class is being dropped. randy was pleasent and we discussed other possibilities but his mind was set. good luck to them and hope they can keep it going for the other classes

Please let us know

So why dont Randy come on here and let everyone know whats up either he made the decision or not. Why did Jimmy say everone said Casey called. STEP UP AND MAKE A STATEMENT RANDY. Let people know. Before you lose your fans

Ive never seen Randy post a message on here, and dont even know if he has an account. Like its been said already they did drop the late models for $$ reasons. Randy personally called the drivers and explained to them what was going on which in turn was passed down on here in like 3-4 different threads. I dont think the guy owes you or any fans an explanation more then what was given. My guess is that Casey didnt agree with the decision and that is why his wife posted a message about it not being Casey that called anyone and he is not responsible for the call to cut them, which is understandable. I dont see why the guy needs to come on here and explain anything it seems pretty clear what has happened and if you dont wanna help support a track after they made a choice to drop late models that is for you to decide. I for one would love to see them get thru the hardship of trying to run a track in this tough economic time and support them anyway I can weather its Amods/bmods/sportsman/pro 4 or even a lower class of late models, I love racing and will still be supporting MMP. Watching Tim Hancock, Dave Weitholder(sp?), Jake Griffin, Steve Delonjay and the other Amod guys battle on that track every week is worth my 12bucks.. I just dont see how he will lose more fans from not coming on here explaining again what is already known.

hey numb nuts i didnt say he owed anybody anything but there seems to be a lot of question about whether the class was dropped they need to make it official so people know what is really going on. So u can kiss my a** and know where in the post by Terry did it say they dropped the class u want to talk sh*t know what you mare saying before engaging your mouth

Umadbro?!? I dont know why the need for name calling and childish remarks but if you could in fact read. You would see the post directly above yours says that it was Randy that was calling people and informing them that the class is dropped. On the Montgomery Late Models thread there are also people that said the same thing, dont get your feelings hurt so easy, and I didnt see myself as talking Sh*t about it, just replying to your comment in all caps about him needing to post a statement. Sorry I sent you into a childish frenzy Don.

Montgomery Late Models

This was the post from J dearing last night
{Several Late Model drivers here at Macon have reported Casey called them to say that Montgomery was dropping Super Late Models.}

Hey bro no im not mad. When a business decision is made you should let your fans/customers know that dont mean you should explain your decision just that a decision was made. i live 1hr away and i dont want to drive an hour if they are not running late models.Above was j dearings post yesterday my point is jimmy says that Casey called and Terry says Casey called no one so the point of my post was someone from mmp. should come on here and post whats going on so people know either way. There is a lot of B.S. spread on here that is not true. i simple suggested someone clear up any question on the subject as a business owner if i make a decision i let people know.

Don ive been called alot worse, just didnt really try and attack you so was confused how we got to calling names.. I also posted I dont think Randy gets on here so it might be hard for him to post an official statement. Casey usually did most of the posting, I dont think Casey wants anyone to think he had anything to do with this decision so he hasnt posted anything about it. I understand wanting to hear it from someone who speaks for the track, but other then Casey I cant think of anyone else other then his wife Terri who gets on here. Lets just hope they can get it turned around and at least make it thru the year and not lose this track or anymore tracks in the area..

If indeed teams were called, that's a nice thing to do but not making an official statement is very bad Public Relations. That would ruin the business pretty quick because the once the rumor mill gets started it's hard to stop. Rumors are never good. Never.
There is a lot of competition for fans and cars these days. The fan base is very finicky, picky, and nervous watching MMP and this will seriously rattle the cages of everyone watching. Handling the situation this way is a poor decision I think. It's also not the first situation to be handled poorly. When I add them up in my head, I begin to lose faith and become discontented. I can't imagine I'm the only one and my the proof is right here on this forum.

Not having an account is a terrible excuse. It takes just minutes to make or ask the web master to put something up.

To be fair also it has only been a bit over 24hours since anything had been decided so it all fairness maybe plans havent been finalized yet and no comment can be made yet... they dont race for another 8 days so maybe word will be coming in the next few days on schedule and class layout for the rest of the year without UMP late models, maybe they might continue with a lesser class of late model like ULMA but things havent been determined yet? We should give it longer then 24-48 hours you think?

Bahahahahaha where's that wheel barrel Casey is always telling people he has and the set of b-lls they can use???

Wow here is someone with a little common sence!

Yes, I agree however these things needed to be worked out before it goes public. All the different discussions on this forum is exactly why. When people don't know the whole truth they fill in the blanks with erroneous information that ultimately does harm to the reputation.

so whats happening with the late models this weekend? did they close the track or what? still waiting to here something from somebody that knows anything. track promoter press release would be nice.

thanks davt, was hoping something would have worked out here, but they will find out real quick, things wont be the same.
