This Friday July 20 Montgomery Motorsports park will having a special show
the warrior winged stints will be in town along with the gateway vintage racing
association will be running also.. Gates open up at 5pm Hot Laps at 8 Racing 8:30
admission only $15.00 pit passes are available

Don't be afraid to come out and enjoy some good racing and good food at the concession

Remember they are still having the regular event on Saturday

I apologize that I didn't make this clear but all admission is $15.00 for kids also..also pit passes are available for $30 and again I apologize

Id love to go that night as I had planned to go, but its kinda of rough to afford 30 extra dollars for my 3 and 7 year old to come with dad to the races. Im sure its gonna be a great show but 45 just to get in isnt workable for this guy. Thanks for the reply :)

Bad business decision... a lot of families will stay home. Promoters could have made up that money for the 12 and under crowd on concessions. SFCR, Pevely, Granite, Kids 12 and under... always free. There's still time for them to change their mind on this decision

Apparently not much thought of the consequences put into this decision...first time I've ever heard of charging kids full price. Think about if Davt hadn't asked the question here and folks being blindsided at the gate. How many parents have an extra $20-$30-$40 in their wallet for their kids to get in? Guess if they didn't turn around and leave they wouldn't eat or drink?

not sure about this race because im not sure how many vintage cars will be there and what kind of show they put on ,i know the spints will bring 20 to 30 and will put on a good show, but for 15 dollars for every person and the show dont start until 8 or 8 -30 I dont know if it will be worth it.Does any body know anything about the vintage cars and how many they might bring?

I just saw that also... Kinda strange they would run 2 events on the same night.. so 30sprints... 15vintage cars and Im supposed to pay full price for my 3 and 7 year old to go also... The Montgomery County fair is also going on that night gonna be tough to compete for the family dollar charging for the 12 and unders.. just say doesnt seem like a good deal to me, but to others it might I dont know...

Thats a joke how are u harge 15 dollors for kids sounds like to me they are trying money i know times sre hard butt come on know jmp

I'm glad to see the sprints and vintage cars on the same ticket. I wish Tri-City would do the same. Do the Outlaws charge reduced prices for kids, maybe it's the ASCS policy?

Maybe the show is starting late to allow the teams to travel after work on Friday and/or beat the heat of the day.

Everyone is so quick to criticize Casey and this re-opened track. I thought STL fans would would be happy to see a track return to the area, but apparently not judging by what is posted on the forums site every week.

Don't know if it's true or not but questions have been going around that some posts here on stl. were done by people affiliated with other tracks. Either because of the competition or the thought that this place wants to change the standard of what payouts and start monies should be.
As far as this show I agree 15 for kids is going to cause a problem.

It doesn't matter whether it's racing or any other thing in life, people are going to criticize and so on if it isn't what they think it should be.

And those of you that have accused me of saying bad things about MMP are full of absolute nonsense. The only thing I've ever said or posted was on the late model ordeal a couple of weeks ago, but that was only after several drivers came up to me at Macon or called me that night saying they were called by Randy. (I mistakenly posted Casey instead of Randy because a couple of drivers thought it was Casey and not Randy).

But I'm all about more racing. In case many of you don't know, I just got finished up going to 28 races over 39 days. (not as hard core as all the SN guys, but I also only took off 9 days from work in that time frame too.

i was just on the gateway vintage website and MMP isn't even on the schedule! someone from the vintage association needs to confirm that there are gonna be cars there and how many!

There not criticizing the track there criticizing the charge for kids. I haven't been to a race in forever where kids pay full price. The economy is in a struggle as the tracks are also. So the tracks like belle Claire, tri city, Farmington, pevely highland, etc etc etc. try to accommodate parents and get them to the track by allowing the kids free. These tracks know that each kid spends at least ten dollars on concessions. So get real flying penguin. Just cause you believe penguins fly don't mean we should.
