Montgomery poll UMP Crates and open Latemodels

City council has to approve its permits. They always liked having it open it was just the lawsuit from certain people that eventually caused the place to give up and then ran everyone off. With the all new drag strip up the street there is new restraints and a new holiday inn being planned. The whole future of new Florence is these tracks. After the track closed the Hardee's closed so no reason to stop there. Was told they even re opening! Yay Hardee's!

The track closed because it was ran into the ground by the previous owner, and they chased all the racers off, had nothing to do with the lawsuit. The Hardees was owned by the same owner as the Hardees in Warrenton that closed also nothing to do with a race track. The future of New Florence hardly depends on some race tracks, while it would be a boost for people in this area in some ways, it is still the exit off 70 that heads to Mark Twain lake and Hermann in the other direction. The Shell and Mcdonalds in New Florence both are always packed, Stone Hill has an outlet there is also a BP all off that exit as well as 3 hotel/motels..

The previous owner built the place from nothing and was great till the lawsuit started! Lawsuit is what caused the tension between Mel and his dad which led to the way they treated us racers. Still came down to the lawsuit that started it, thats how I saw it and after looking back and discussing it with others that ran there or helped out there it's pretty much agreed that's the cause. Didn't say that's why Hardee's closed just I have no reason to stop, and it was announced its reopening apparently because the new dragstrip. That's according to the owner of the dragstrip. Of course it's a boost! Didn't say it killed the town when mcs closed. It is a point to go north or south it gets traffic regardless.

Sanction ULMA and cars will come from as far as Kansas city. That's another reason. Callaway would get 4-6 from warrensberg on Fridays. With the Saturday track there closed and those cars racing valley speedway On fridays now that leaves lucas oil speedway for the point chasers. Mcs opens they will most likely follow I-70 rather than the narrow roads to wheatland.

If you run supers and expect any, even one, ulma you must allow d55 tires. Ulma only runs d55 and these are more budget lates do don't expect any of them to get two sets of tires.
Ulma has great car count when they run ulma rules, when they run supers only a couple show up. Why take a knife to a gunfight when you can go another direction to a knife fight and get ulma points.

Too many unkowns for a lot of the UMP LM guys to commit. UMP sanctioned? what night? when are you looking to open? rough outline of the payout? definite plans for the surface itself....lengthen? take out some banking? restore to original configuration with the lower pole?
