why didn't anyone run the drivers meeting. nothing was said about how and where to start, re-starts, single file double, leader out front. no spin out rules were given so non were enforced. etc... i no its the first night and track conditions will improve, but i hope they a real drivers meeting next week.

Learning curve there that's for sure! Had fun though. Kinda nice seeing lots of old friends again. Get some speakers for the pit meetings and pits, if they don't over water the track it's going to be fine.

Guys don't start the crying over mistakes.. Give them credit where credit is due!!! It there first night and having never ran a track its gonna take time to get everything down.

Single file restarts and the running order were discussed but very little to anything else was noted.
The facility looked really nice and the the track has been reconfigured nicely, I think there will be good racing there in the future. The potential for a best in class facility is there for sure. Management cares a lot about the place and its integrity of the business. The surface is what it is for a new surface. It takes a while to get it to perfection so it will come in with a little time however it seemed on that too much time was put into grounds work just to get it the track open and not enough in to the program itself. I would have rather seen it the other way around. Perhaps the track should left dry slick until the base comes in so it doesn't come apart like it did. A dry slick track isn't a favorite by everybody but better than a rough track that can't be raced on.

Segregating the classes in the pits are a bad idea I believe. I don't know why some teams were and some were not. Communication error I guess. Personally I don't bring a four wheeler/pit bike/golf cart with me and yet I was parked in the back furthest from the track vs others who had them were parked closest the track. Seems like a disconnect there.
Some, mine specifically, and some of others report pill draws were lost/wrong/unrecorded.
The track was watered and packed from the bottom up rendering the top too rough to race on.
Hot laps started 4 1/2 hours late....
First heat started at 1 1/2 hours late.....
Too much time was used sorting the lineups before the heat/feature started.
Too many cautions due to rough driving behavior that went unchecked many times.
No alcohol on premise is a bad idea, there's a ton of money to be made on beer sales alone and those few who abuse the privileged should been removed and asked not to return. Same goes for the rough drivers too.
Concessions were hot/cold respectively, but were slow and they ran out of most everything.
Bathrooms were not kept clean and the toilets stopped working at one point. I think they were repaired and made serviceable soon after that however. Hand dryers blowing hot air in 95 degree heat begs for paper products instead. Porta-Potties should have been available there for backup/alternatives.

The biggest crowd the place may ever have come last night and so the largest amount of people to impress. The first impression really is the most important, so important the business may live and die by the word of mouth and those words have to be positive.

Overall the place needs work on the program and its all very fixable stuff. The facility looks amazing and Casey and Randy deserve recognition for a brutal 7 weeks making it happen. Next week will be important because next week will set the trends of what's to come. Great things I expect. Thank you Casey and Randy for your hard work and giving us a great place to race at. I look forward to returning in a few weeks.

Yep amazing what's been done in a short time. They got their hearts into it that's for sure! All will get worked out I have a feeling. Just hope enough give them the chance, We need this track to succeed!

That was amazing to see that crowd on opening night!! Something to keep in mind also is that the track manager did get injured somehow while working on the track at 4 a.m. on Saturday morning. I am sure with his injuries, he was unable to be around to decide how to prep the track for Saturday night racing. Hope you get well Casey and week 2 will definitely be better. As with any new track or new ownership/management, you learn from your mistakes.

My racing buddy & I decided to go up and support the reopening of the Monkery City track. For 20 years we've always gone to Pevely on Sat night unless they weren't running late models or it was an all sprit show then we would go somewhere else. After being there about one hour we looked at each other and said we screwed up but anyway we stayed. Some areas I feel they have to work on and I'm sure they will and this is from a fans stand point. One is the small wrecker was not good but probably will get better but the big wrecker was a joke. I was so sick of the damn tractor/blade I wanted to go down and steal the keys from it. In fact I dreamed about the dam thing last night. LOL Another thing if your running late (1AM) you don't have a one hour intermission especially if your not selling beer. I really don't see them making it without beer sales or at least allow fans to bring their own coolers in. The track was horrible but yes it will get better I'm sure. What's bad is the first impression and yes they had a full house but with all of the problems what percentage of those people will come back and I hate to say it but there will have to be a lot of improvement before I go back and I for sure will once that happens. Casey & Randy keep up the good work.

Casey and Randy are open to any suggestions for the track dirtboy. Everything that was said here was true, and the only way they can know what to fix is if people tell them what is wrong. One thing I can say is they did keep the show moving. There was no waiting for the cars to get to the track and line up. Lining up the cars did not take long either, they were sure faster at lining up the cars then Pevely and Pevely has transponders and it still take 5 mins. These driver were there to drive and they showed that. The track and operations will get better, now that the first night jitters are out of the way. It was very unfortunate that Casey got hurt the night before or should say the morning of, but Casey was there for most of the night, which to me shows how much he wants to make this track work. I'm pretty sure when any new track opens nothing is perfect. Even on a regular night at Pevely, Belleclair, Tri-City and Highland don't have perfect nights. Give it time and this will get better. Hopefully they will change the no beer rule. I know several drivers and their fans who did not go because of this and they would have brought a large fan base with them.

IF THEY WANT SUGGESTIONS TELL THEM TO GET THERE AZZ ON HER AND THANK THE PEOPLE WHO CAME OUT... GIVE US THERE POINT OF VIEW. They should have had a post started soon after the races was down explaining everything that happened and so on JMO... THERE'S MY SUGGESTIONS LETS SEE HOW IT GOES OVER..

Hey stupidboy, I guess you didn't read the part were it was stated that Casey was injured at 4am the day of the races. Casey was at the track almost all night and finally left to go to the ER. From what he told me he broke his collar bone and maybe some ribs and hurt his hip. The man was a trooper walking around in pain all night making sure the first night even happened. Right now I'm sure Casey has his health on his mind and not your stupid azz.

As with every new track there are issues and learning curves, we appreciate everyones input and suggestions . Thanks for all your support and concerns . Also for those concerned casey broke his collar bone in 2 places ,fractured some ribs ,and fractured his pelvis. Thanks for the calls sincerly terri pearson

Oh sh-t... I hope Casey gets to feeling better soon. What was he doing when all this happened? Thoughts and prayer coming your way..
