Mopar Gears Up For Pepsi/mountain Dew Knoxville Usac Midget Nationals Bonus

Center Line, Mich. — Competitors in this weekend’s Pepsi/Mountain Dew Knoxville Midget Nationals event will be competing for not only the event purse, but a $5,000 Mopar Challenge Bonus as well. If the winner of the Saturday feature utilizes a Mopar powerplant, that driver will receive a $5,000 MoPowered bonus check, courtesy of Mopar. The Pepsi/Mountain Dew Knoxville Midget Nationals is scheduled for this Friday and Saturday, June 2–3, 2006.

The two-day event will feature a full racing program on both Friday and Saturday nights. Featuring the USAC National Midget Car Series, the Pepsi/Mountain Dew Knoxville Midget Nationals will boast a total purse of $33,000 for the event. Friday night’s winner will earn a $1,650 purse, while Saturday’s winner will earn $3,350 in winnings. Saturday’s victor could potentially drive away with a total of $8,350, if he or she wins with a Mopar engine.

All entrants competing with Mopar power are eligible for the Mopar Challenge Bonus. Leading the competition will be Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises’ Josh Wise, the 2005 USAC National Midget Car Series champion. He’ll be joined by Team Mopar’s Levi Jones, Kyle Nicholas, Jerry Coons Jr., and Teddy Beach. Saturday night’s field will feature 30 starters in the 25-lap feature event.
