Center Line, Mich. - With the announcement that it would sponsor another premier sprint car racing event in 2004, Mopar has once again set the stage for another chapter to be added to sprint car racing history. Mopar Thunder will be held August 5-7, at Eldora Speedway. In August of 2003, Mopar headlined the highly successful Mopar Million Sprint at Eldora.
Mopar Thunder will bring the Ohio countryside alive with the booming sounds of racing as the All Star Circuit of Champions, World of Outlaws and USAC National Sprint Car Series do battle for the bragging rights of one of this year's most prestigious open-wheel racing events. The All Star Circuit of Champions will host the August 5 portion of the event, with the World of Outlaws commandeering the August 6 schedule of events. The event will conclude with the USAC National Sprint Car Series finale on August 7. The star-studded event will boast a purse of over $175,000 and will pay $50,000 to win Saturday night's finale, providing motivation for outstanding racing action.
