Mother’s Day Special with Big Ten Late Model Series and Crazy Chicks n Cars

Macon, IL – Macon Speedway will be hosting their annual Mother’s Day Tradition with Crazy Chicks driving race cars. Mother’s will also receive special items as they arrive to the Speedway. This weekend will also be the first race for the Big Ten Late Model Series as Macon, Jacksonville, and Shepps Speedway’s team up to offer Late Model drivers a $10K point fund for 10 races.

The Big Ten Late Models will race on May 8th, May 22nd, June 12th, July 17th, and August 28th at Macon, August 6th at Jacksonville, and May 9th, June 6th, July 18th, and August 1st at Shepps.

This weekend the fans will get to see TWO features for the UMP Modifieds as they make up the rain out race from May 1st. The High School Hornets will also be back to complete their feature from May 1st. As the other two features that were rained out they will be made up on May 29th for the Big Ten Street Stock Series and Pro Hornets.

Macon Speedway is also pleased to announce that May 15th will be the make up race for the POWRi Midgets and Mircos that was rained out on April 24th.

This weekend will be the third and fourth edition to Macon Speedway’s “Best Fan in the Stands” where two lucky fans will win $100 this week if their name is draw from the box after the Modified feature event. If the Best Fan in the Stands is not present the prize money will roll over into next week’s prize. Macon Speedway will also be drawing an extra 50/50 ticket to give one lucky fan a ride in the Macon Speedway 2 seater Late Model driven by one of Macon Speedway’s local drivers.

Saturday night’s schedule will feature six UMP divisions, including the Late Models, Modifieds, Touchstone Energy Sportsman, Street Stock, Pro Hornets, Amateur Hornets, plus the make up feature for High School Hornets. The UMP Late Model winner will take home $1200.

Macon Speedway offers fun family entertainment every Saturday night from April to September. With many fan favorite events on schedule, including three “Night of NASCAR Stars” nights planned and the famous Herald and Review 100, UMP’s premier Summer National event, 2010 is stacking up to be a memorable year. Macon Speedway where every Saturday Night we race gates will open at 5:00 and racing will start at 7:00. Adults are $15 and kids 12 and under get in for free with a paying adult, for the special Big Ten Late Model event.
