Moving on up

Who would you all like to see move up and race a sprint this year? I know that I would like to see Billy Smith, or Casey Barnhouse move up. I know Casey already did once, but sprints are the highest podium of our sport. I think Billy Smith is such a good driver that he would also do well. We have alot of young talent in our multi and mod. class and I wanted to know what you guys thought. P.S. Kasey Burch would probably be fast too.

would love to see casey barnhouse back in a sprint...thats where he belongs. i think there are a couple of other multi drivers who could be good after a couple of seasons in a sprint car as well. not sure about billy...hes a good driver, but for some reason i could never see him in a sprint car. will be interesting to see who moves up before next season, though. i would personally be interested in seeing some of the best sportsman guys race in the modified division too...that would make for one hell of a class of cars...with two seperate ones as it is it just takes more time and spreads out a lot of the talent.

In multis there are so many fresh young talent. Buckely and Odell already moved up, I would like to see the class of guys that started multis at the same time move up together, like Tommy Boyd, Joey Boyd, Eric Ziegler, Jake Bess, Dustin Barks. All of those guys that joined at the same time I would like to see them move up kinda of like a dynasty.

Billy drove for

If I'm not mistaken I believe billy drove a sprint car for IRL now Craftsman Truck driver Jimmy Kite

You can count me in. I'll be in a full size before the season is over most likely. But for sure by the beginning of next year. ;)

Billy drove for Rusty Weible at SFCR back in '99. Not to sure about the year. He went from the Late Model to a Sprint at the end of the season.

weird...i just cant imagine him in one...driving ability aside. i mean...i know he can drive and im sure he would do well in one...

I am currently working on a few things to have a sprint ready by next year. I enjoy racing the multi, but I'd like to move up eventually.

Yes, Billy DID in fact drive a sprint and he was involved in a HORRIFIC accident at Pevely (not sure of the year). Something that I'm sure MANY people will NEVER forget. In fact, still to this day, I don't know how his skinny butt didn't get hurt VERY BAD!!!!!
