i think they pay is way better like with steel blocks and late models running together.. because us steel blocks dint get that good of a pay out so if we put the pedal to the medal we can get a good finish and good money

tell me something mr. herbst is the pay going to continue like this or is it just for the dates you mentioned on your post. i like the idea of paying more; but now are you going to keep the rules up to standard and try for the most part, given that some people have more $$$ to burn on go fast parts than others, to even the playing field....i.e-scaling. i haven't been to your track in about a year because the army thought i'd be better suited in south korea but i talk with numerous people that do go there and they talk about how something different everynight whether it be the track being in rough shape, the low car count, or the officiating. i hope you and rick try to straighten things out because i enjoy coming there and have for about 10 years now, i'm looking forward to being home on leave in time to be at your summer nat's date on the 30th with my bro-in-law who races there. good luck mr. herbst

That all sounds good.
The question I have is if a BIG NAME shows up to collect the bounty and Rodney can't beat them will he just pull off so the bounty does not have to be paid?I mean the officials definately have Rodney on the brain. Also if a name wins and Rodney does not pull off will the name get scaled and if so will Rodney get scaled?ALL should be scaled but just wanted to ask.

is this guarenteed purse gonna be for bombers too i Might stll have one hidden somwhere you just never know

rick told me and wilkins last week he would try it for a couple weeks and see how it goes but tim didnt know about it when i talked to him last night he said he would find out to day and post it

What about the rumor that the track is closing if this new 3 week money guarantee does not pull any extra cars and fans?

well we be there even though the crates got cancelled at mvn ol Rick watched after me and mine for years we help o rick out this Sat may not make the feature but will have fun racin just the same

no answer to the rumor?
What if Melvin just blows a tire or looses it and smacks the wall?
No bounty will be paid?

it is not a rumor to collect the bonus, you must beat him cleanly, and he must finish the race, or no bonus. Plain and simple.

ohsomthin. you do realize he said ALL casr must be UMP legal.
That means if you race a fastrack car you MUST have the smaller spoiler and HOOISER tires.
That is the quoted Mt Vernon & UMP rule to race with the UMP cars.
littleFILK emailed me and reminded of this.
He is a stickler for the rules but then Mt V (RICK) has already been quoted saying that even on this board.
SMALLER SPOILER & HOOSIER tires and a FASTRACK can run with the UMP Late Model class.

according to UPM officals at the track at last event bacause i run an extremely underpowered car my spolier and tire choice would be acceptable however a running points total for my car would not be kept and i would not be allowed to particapte in any double point or "big" shows hell i probably wont make the feature but its still supposed to be about having fun and gettin some seat time for my kid at a local raceway. This will help both us and the track we can at least hot lap ,qualify, and run a heat race o yea i am changin my spoiler but only cause it works like a sail on backwards lol

i just hope it all works out for em and they get a lotta cars, even if emling racing dont make the feature.. because id hate to see the track close down

Just Talked To Rick And He Is Going To Let Me Use A Set Of Hoosier Tires So That He Can Take Care Of The Little Guys Too!! We Still May Not Make The Feature But At Least We're Supporting Our Local Speedway Instead Of Bashing Them All The Time!!!!!!! So Some Of Us Will Be At Mt Vernon Raceway And Some Of Us Won't Some Of Us Will Be Home On Computers Stiring Stuff....

well i think emling racing with make it to the feature as they have a fast car and is a good driver good luck to all who come support the track tonight

Man what a GREAT night--my son raced with the Late Models tonight and came in 15th running his FASTRACK car which ment he was underpowered by a long shot. He came in 8th in the heat and 5th in the consie--and he didn't get anything tore up--he pulled off because it was over-heating in the feature due to mud in the radiator. Thanks to all the guys that came through and supported him to get tires that would be legal to race (Rick Heck & Sloan) We really appreciate racers like you that help the others out when in need. MVN has taught us a very BIG lesson and that is that you can compete and have friends all at the same place--that's what racing is suppose to be about. Rick Heck this is for you--THANK YOU....GREAT SHOW TONIGHT Even tires and spoilers can't stop Matt from racing--
Lisa Filkins (07 Raceteam)

Glad to see Rick bellied up and did the right thing.
Poor boys deserve to race too.
07 did very well.
Can Rick manage FREE tires for ALL?

Yeah take the heat
