Mt. Vernon raceway will open this year,under Mt. Vernon Raceway Inc., which is the partnership that owns the corporation. We have not been to the track this year, so there is quite a bit of work to be done before it opens. Corporate officer Stephanie Clark who is Sec. of the corporation, will do the day to day operations of the race track. Rick will be helping run the race program and providing the tow service on race day.The classes we will be running will be the same as last year, Street Stock/Bomber, Mods, 4 cyl. and crates. I would like to remind you street stock/ bombers will have to run a 2 barrell carb,we will adjust our rules, so that belleville/ tric city/flora cars can run at Mt. Vernon if they wish to.It depends on how long it takes us to get the track ready to determine opening day, 1-2 weeks.If any racers would like to help get the track ready, please contact Rick.We urge all of our local fans and racers to come out and support the racetrack.
We will follow Tri Citys new policy for kids in the pits, 12 and under will be $ 10, but both parents must sign release forms.Over 13 will be full price. Our grandstand prices will be $ 10 for adults,10 and under Free, Senoirs $ 8.If you child looks older than our age restrictions, then proof of age will be required, the first time signing into pits.If you look over 13 at front gate proof of age will be required too.
We will be running some Thursday night LM Specials.Again this is our chance to keep raing in Mt. Vernon,please come out and support your local track.
