Mt.Vernon Results! 11/1/03

Forgot to mention..Mt.Vernon had a total of 96 cars..a good crowd of fans and some great racing..Rick and Bev Thank You!! Job well done..hope everyone ate lots of pig after the races!

Well, the final race of 2003 is in the books and thank you Mother Nature for letting it happen. Thanks to Rick and Bev for a fun night and the good stuff after the race.
Results are on the results pages with many of the missing names.
There were many cars there that many of the fans had never seen before. There were cars from all kinds of states. The 20 Modified was from Hunnington, W. VA. Siebert is from Wis. IN, IL, MO, KY, WI, W. VA were all represented for this last night of racing.

The P.A. system needs to be fixed as it was hard to hear anything from names to qualifying times. The lights in the score board need to be replaced as it is hard to tell what the times are and the lap count. Just a few thoughts for next year.

The #20 modified from Huntington, WV was us!! We had such a fun time. It was a good crowd and a great car count. I agree with the thoughts above regarding the lap timer and speakers. I couldn't understand hardly anything that was said and I was sitting in front of a speaker. But, all things considered, it was a good time and I'm glad we made the trip. Hope to be back next season sometime. Thanks to all!!!

It was good talking to you and to hear where you were from. That is a long way to haul just for a regular race. I know you started at Brownstown, but Mother Nature sent you to MT. Vernon to race. Glad you were able race on a new track and make the feature.
Come on back anytime. Good luck with your racing.
