good job rick you are really doing a good job of making decisions and upping your car count!!! keep up the good work!!! 9 late models and 11 steel blocks 2 purses 20 cars and the racing was not that good!! When is FASTRAK coming back at least the will get a full field of cars!!!!!!

I was sad to not see Rodney at Pevely,I was impressed when he showed up to Tri-State a couple weeks ago. Then he pulls this stuff, unreal. Real impressive beating 8 cars, man get real!!!!

Rodney wasn't trying to impress anyone. After traveling to Tri-City on Wednesday, Spoon River on Thursday and Vermilion County on Friday and then planning to travel to Tri-State on Sunday, I think everyone was just looking forward to staying local. Good grief, I am worn out and I don't even do anything at the track, except for simply watching the race.

I like Rodney, but I feel if he wants to win the UMP championship he needs to run at the UMP events. If you get tired that is part of it. What are you going to do when the Summernationals start up?

Thats funny though, 9 cars, give me abreak.

Poplar Bluff was not gettting many Lms and Billy James was winning every week. They offered a bounty starting at $1600 and an extra $100 every week it wasnt paid. Last night they had 17 very good LMs ( a bunch of MARS guys)

Maybe they should try this at MTV.

You guys are actually pretty funny. Last year Rodney traveled to most of the UMP Challenge shows and all of the SN shows, placing very well in both of those series' and the whole time he kept the #1 position in UMP National Points. He has only ran at Mt. Vernon a handful of times this year and still he manages to pull off a win pretty much every other track he has been to in place of Mt. Vernon. But, yet as soon as he decides not to travel one night (in order to keep some sponsors happy), you guys are on here ripping him again. Really, it is SO VERY OLD!

Sincerely,
The sponsor that wanted him to stay in Mt. Vernon on Saturday night

By the way,

I would like to congratulate Rodney on his 5th place finish at Haubstadt, IN tonight. Great job running up against the big dogs!

Just hold on guys there was a big race at Pevely for 1 and next week you might get some of the Highland guys in several clases...Charlie is on a mission to shut Highland down he is running our drivers off here pretty soon watch and see....!!!!!!!

LOL.....i knew this was going to go on......so, are we going to bash rodney until the weekend or is this going to end soon!? congrats on getting 5th last night and beating babb, weaver, and others!

They can bash him . BUT' they can't beat him!! When you click on to the racing site w/ the UMP NATIONAL CH. photo on it.Who do you see?? Man who was it ?? I just can't ?? OOOOO !! Thats rite>> It's R. Melvin!! They just mad cause they can't get their picture on that page. IT TAKES THE WIN TO DO THAT!! And not only has he dominated that one>> But' he climbed in a mod. a few weeks ago and kicked butt in that to!! Say what ya want> But' FACTS are FACTS!! BOO HOO cry babies!! Like him or hate him?? Makes no dif. He still holds the point's!!

You people are such cry babies, it's not like Rodney knew there were only going to be 9 cars, and he did have Kevin Cole to deal with who was on his bumper the whole race, for 9 cars it was a great race. So what if he went where he knew he could win, the guys that run at Pevely run there every Saturday so what is the difference? Just like the same guys are at Godfrey, Granite, Highland, I guess when you are the UMP point leader you are gonna take the **** cause noone likes someone who wins all the time,(except me!!!) Hey Rodney, are you ready to get back in the modified again? Also, congrats on your exceptional finishes in the last 3 weeks with your traveling.

I had a DREAM that Rodney was gonna go to Ohio this weekend, but I doubt he would. It is a UMP points race, and if I'm not mistaken it's worth more points because of the amount of cars. Would Rodney pass up the chance for $100,000. Ya probably.
