just a few highlights from the meeting...
The sponsers have started the year with a 10,000 point fund that will be awarded to the top 5 drivers of each class. also the 50/50 will go toward the point fund. New partner Jim Scott was introduced.
all races will be for points, all special events will be double points.
every class must have a window net and fire extinguisher or they will not race, NO warnings
changes to 4 cyl will be:
36lbs of pressure in tires and they will allow trucks.
pay will be 100,75,50, and 25 to the rest for 18 or more cars
Bombers/Hobby Stock
cameros will be allowed
4 barrell carbs or any 2
headers allowed with mufflers
beadlocks on right front and rear
emods or street tires(drivers choice)
any heads , no aluminum
the rules will be locked in for 3 years, Im sure they will post all the rules on the sight, these are just the new major changes
Steel Block:
drivers will vote on new tire rule 1st night of racing. whether to run LM40 or D55
They are gonna try to have practice the 2nd week of march and racing to begin the 3rd week.
