Mt Vernon ?

Word is that the Vern is now allowing locked differentials. Can anyone confirm this? I was planning on making a trip there soon and wanted to know what car to take over. Also, if so what are the thoughts from the guys without the locked diffs?

Hey, Rob. Yes. Probably at least half the field is locked, maybe more, I don't know. We won't lock ours because we travel to other tracks that do not allow them. As far as my thoughts, I stopped caring about what other people do to their cars a long time ago. We just go have fun.
BTW, we are down to one car (the old VFW car). The Eclipse flipped hard last night (it's done) and the Probe right rear suspension exploded (lots of broken stuff).

I agree with Bill, I'm also in it for the fun and stopped worrying about what people do to their cars a long time ago. I can certainly appreciate the time and money people put into their cars to win. If they are legal, good for them. We all know the cheating won't stop until the tracks enforce the rules and the tracks won't enforce the rules until enough drivers want it. So it is, what it is. I wouldn't even know how to lock my differential, let alone want to take the time to do it!

I am thinking about hanging it up and selling my car at the end of this season. Let me know if you would be interested.

Thanks, Steve, but will you really be able to quit.
I think we're going to start looking for a car and build new. We have a good cage in the Probe that we'll use, as well as seat, net, belts, etc. from both cars. The cage in the Eclipse is going to the scrap yard with the car. That's the 3rd roll for that cage and all 3 times it held up very well, but I think it's done.

Hey Steve Jens, Does your beretta have the 2.3 H.O. engine? We were looking for a sunfire, but may be interested since our car is just like yours.
