NASCAR reinstates Kurt Busch

they should have never suspended him in the first place. should have waited for the court to make a judgement..

It matters none the legality issue. If NASCAR feels that someone is of poor stewardship of the company they should do what ever they feel they need to to protect the reputation. I think the issue is the way they go about it. It seems that if Mike Helten thinks it's good for ratings in the form of attention they allow or even encourage it. IT appears NASCAR cares little about morals and values but instead is driven largely by ratings and sponsor monies and so I think that is what's hurting them the most. Simply put, I don't think Mike cares that much about racing, family and competition as much as he cares about money and power and prestige.

Mike Helton? You mean Brian France. Helton is the smart one. France got arrested few years ago. For all we know she could have been trying to ruin Kurt and his season. Heck the Delaware court system threw the case out due to lack of evidence.

"The court" did make a decision to grant a no contact order to Driscoll, stating the Busch's version of events was implausible and that in all likelihood he had assaulted her. It appears, by a statement made from Driscoll's attorney after the announcement that Delaware wouldn't be pursuing a criminal case against Busch that Busch admitted to police he squeezed her face and slammed her into a wall. All the Delaware prosecutor's decision states is they didn't think they had enough "admissible evidence" which is code for "some stuff that incriminates him we can't use in court" and people not wanting to testify to get a criminal conviction.

Nothing in any of that says Busch didn't do it. All it states is there isn't enough to get a conviction. Busch is also having to go through some kind of domestic violence courses, anger management, etc to be allowed to race. Hardly a ringing declaration of innocence.

The man has a history of being volatile, that is well documented. Hopefully this brings him to his senses and he wises up some, about his own behavior and taking steps to avoid people and situations that might get him cranked up in the future. I like watching the guy race, I hope the best for him.

I also think he's racing again only by the grace of Nascar, and Nascar wanting to avoid any litigation with him over this, drawing more attention to it. Nascar just wants this go go away, not blow up on them.
