NCRA Sport Mod Season Opener Next Sunday Night!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Park City, Kansas – April 27, 2014 - The 2014 season for the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products sport modified division kicks off next Sunday night (May 4) at 81 Speedway in Park City. The event will be the first of eight events currently on the schedule.
Mark Harrison of Enid, Oklahoma is the defending tour champion joining the list of former champions Travis Johnson (2012), Chad McNamara (2011, 2009) and Todd Decker (2010).
Career NCRA sport modified feature wins at Eighty-One Speedway – Travis Johnson (2), Brandon Smith (3), Joe Adams, Todd Decker, Jeff Autry, Robert Elliott, and David Young.
During the winter, NCRA president C Ray Hall adjusted the pay scale for each championship feature. The pay down is as follows:
1) $500, 2) $450, 3) $400, 4) $350, 5) $300, 6) $250, 7) $225, 8) $200, 9) $175, 10) $150, 11-15) $125, 16-20) $100.
Also competing will be the NCRA and MARS DIRTcar late model divisions. Over twenty drivers from the Oklahoma and Kansas areas are expected to compete to begin the sixth season for the tour.
Pit gates open at 5:00 PM with racing scheduled for a 7:00 PM start time.
