does any one know what a good gear would be in a sportsman with a 305 and a 2 spd. powerglide at I-55? NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS

How well built is the motor? and what kind of RPM range are you looking to run for max performance?
 
well i have crome molly push rods with solid lifters and a good cam roller tip rocker arms torker 2 intake the motor should hold up and run real nice as far as rpm's about 6600 on the high side thanks
 
ill tell you my trick that worked real well for me at i55 get rid of the 2 speed powerdluid get a 350 turbo use a 650 gear use the kick down cable at srarts or restarts and you will blow right by them!
 
well thanks i have thought of using a 350 trans but i have the powerglide and dont really have the extra money to put in another trans right now i will definitely consider it when i have to get another trans i really do appreciate it though thanks
