well i raced for my first time lastnight at i-55 in a sportsman and i had some clutch smell does that just happen cause its a new clutch or do you think it a problum o and sorry for spinning out if anyone got mad.

You shouldn't smell a clutch ever!
However brakes smell exactly the same as a clutch, were you using a lot of brakes? If not you probably have other issues.

If you have a new clutch and pressure plate that you know is good then look at the bearing. Bearing may be schimed too much and letting the clutch slip. Take out a few schims and see if any better. If you can stick your hand through the side of the bellhousing try spinning the bearing. You want to be able to turn the bearing still with very little to no drag on it. If all that is good your pressure plate may have weak springs and allowing the clutch disc to slip at higher RPM's. Hope all this helps.
