CARTERSVILLE, GA – A busy four days of racing is ahead over the Labor Day Holiday Weekend that will see eight NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies Week 23 races on Friday through Sunday, and the first race of Week 24 will be held on Monday night with a $1,000-to-win event at Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL.
NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 23 competition will begin on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS where Point Leader Jeremy Idom of Hattiesburg, MS will be looking for his 13[sup]th[/sup] win of the 2014 season. Idom has a best 14 week total of 694 points and he will be looking to net on a two 48s, and two 49s to finish up the season.
Saturday night NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 23 action will be highlighted by Double Features at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL. The first feature race will be a Week 7 Make-Up Race, and the second feature race will be the regularly scheduled Week 23 event.
Other Saturday night NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division events are scheduled for Northwest Florida Speedway in Baker, FL, Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, MO, and Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL. Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS will present a Sunday night Week 23 race.

The defending NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division National Champion Trey Bright of Coker, AL is second in the standings with a 14 week total of 675 points. By winning out the remainder of the season, Bright has the potential to have 697 points at the end of the season on September 28. Bright will be trying to net on a 44, two 45s, a 46, and a 48 in the coming weeks.
David Windham of Florala, AL can’t accumulate enough points to challenge Idom for the National Championship, but he still has a good shot to finish second. Windham is currently third in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 667 points. Windham will be looking to finish up the season by netting on a 44, a 45, three 46s and a 48.
Kevin Whittington of Brandon, MS has a chance to challenge Idom for the title, as he can win out the remainder of the season by netting on a 41, a 44, and three 45s to end the season with a potential of 696 points.
