CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series has announced that the final two 2009 National Touring point races will be held on October 16 and 17 at South Mississippi Speedway in Gulfport, MS. The NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS teams will be removing the roofs of the race cars and they be topless for these two events.

The Friday night, October 16 event for the NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS National Tour will be a 40-lap $2,000-to-win event. The Saturday night, October 17 race will be 50-laps paying $2,500-to-win, and will be the final points race of the season for the NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS National Tour.

“We’re excited about having our last two National point events and crowning our 2009 National Champion at South Mississippi Speedway, as it provides a festive atmosphere with the beaches and activities in the area,” NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS President of Operations and Communications said. “We’re also excited about the cars going topless, as that will give the fans a better view of the drivers wrestling the steering wheel inside the roll cage.”

South Mississippi Speedway is located northeast of I-10 at exit 24. For more information about South Mississippi Speedway call 228-255-8008, or visit the track web site at www.southmsspeedway.com.
