CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Week 19 schedule will be a busy one with 13 events at 11 tracks. The first event was held on Tuesday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL with Bobby Eiland of Phenix City, AL taking his first win of the season in the Dry Creek/Paradise Pools GRT.

NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region Week 19 action will continue on Friday night at Penton Raceway in Penton, AL. Mountain Raceway Park in Maryville, TN will host double features on Saturday night, and Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL will have a double-points event on Saturday night.

East Alabama Motor Speedway will return to NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region action on Saturday night, and Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, NC will feature East Region competition on Saturday night.

NeSmith Chevrolet WRS Week 19 West Region competition will begin on Friday night with events scheduled for Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, AR and Hattiesburg Motorsports Park in Hattiesburg, MS.

Saturday night NeSmith Chevrolet WRS West Region Saturday night competition will be held at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS, Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS, Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS, and South Mississippi Speedway in Gulfport, MS.

Upcoming NeSmith Chevrolet double point events will be at Penton Raceway on August 22 and Talladega Short Track on August 29 in the East Region, and Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS on August 15 and Hattiesburg Motorsports Park on August 21 in the West Region.

With limited action due to rainouts on Week 18 of the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season, not much changed in the point standings, or the driver’s Event Point Averages based on their best 16 finishes. Richie Stephens of Phenix City, AL had a fourth-place finish on Tuesday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway to move up to ninth in the East Region point standings.
