CARTERSVILLE, GA – Week 2 of the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season will feature 15 events in addition to two NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Touring events that will pay Weekly Racing Series bonus points. The East Region will have eight events, and the West Region will have seven events.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region action gets underway on Friday night at Penton Raceway in Penton, AL. Saturday night East Region events are scheduled for 441 Speedway in Dublin, GA, East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL, Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL, Mountain Raceway Park in Maryville, TN, New Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA, Shelby County Speedway in Wilsonville, AL, and Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.

According to the 411 Speedway web site, NeSmith Chevrolet, Buick, GMC in Claxton, GA will pay a $500 bonus to any driver that wins a NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Late Model feature race this season at 441 Speedway that has not won a race at 441 Speedway since the beginning of the 2009 season.

Three tracks in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region will present their 2010 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season openers this weekend that include Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, AR and North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL on Friday night, and Central Mississippi Speedway in Winona, MS on Saturday night.

Hattiesburg Motorsports Park in Hattiesburg, MS will be in action for NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series racing on Friday night. Other West Region Saturday night action will be at A1 Raceway in Slidell, LA, Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS, and Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Tour will be in action on Friday night at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS with a 40-lap $2,000-to-win event, and on Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS with a 50-lap $2,500-to-win race.

All competitors that enter these two events will receive 25 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series bonus points for each race that will be added to their best 16 event point totals for the season that runs through October 3. Drivers can earn up to 150 bonus points in their home Region during the season by competing in up to six NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS National Touring events.
