CARTERSVILLE, GA – Week 4 of the 2010 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season has 13 events on the schedule with six in the West Region, and seven in the East Region. Drivers from several NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series tracks hold down top ten spots in both the West and East Regions.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region has three races on tap for Friday night at Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, AR, Hattiesburg Motorsports Park in Hattiesburg, MS, and North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL. Three West Region Saturday races are scheduled for A1 Raceway in Slidell, LA, Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS and Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region will have two events on Friday night at Penton Raceway in Penton, AL, and the first night of a weekend double-header at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL. Talladega Short Track will also host an East Region event on Saturday night.

Other NeSmith Chevrolet WRS East Region Saturday night events will be held at 441 Speedway in Dublin, GA, East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL, Mountain Raceway Park in Maryville, TN, and New Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA.

The defending and three-time NeSmith Chevrolet WRS West Region Champion Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba, MS leads the West Region standings with 277 points with six races, three at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park and three at Whynot Motorsports Park. Jamey Smith of Purvis, MS is second with 215 points after five starts between Hattiesburg Motorsports Park and Whynot Motorsports Park.

Justin McRee of Cuba, AL has a perfect undefeated record with three wins in three starts for a total of 200 points. J-Mac has two wins at Whynot Motorsports Park, and a win at North Alabama Speedway. Cliff Williams of Star, MS is fourth with 199 points in three starts, two at HMP and one at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS.

Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS is fifth with three starts between HMP and WMP and has 193 points. Shay Knight of Ethelsville, MS has three starts at three different tracks, WMP, North Alabama Speedway, and Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS. Knight is sixth in West Region points with 169.

Johnny Stokes of Columbus, MS has two starts to tally 149 points with a win at Columbus Speedway, and a second-place finish at NAS to put him seventh in the West Region standings. The 2008 NeSmith Chevrolet WRS West Region Champion Jim McDuffie of Meridian, MS and Jay Burchfield of Columbus, MS are tied for the eighth spot with 146 points.

McDuffie has three starts with one win at WMP, and Burchfield has two starts, one at NAS and one at Columbus Speedway. Allen Netherland of Angie, LA and “Chargin” Charlie Henderson of Cottondale, AL are tied for the tenth spot at 140 points. Netherland has three starts at HMP, and Henderson has two starts coming at NAS and Columbus Speedway.

Chase Edge of Lafayette, AL leads the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region standings with 224 points in five starts. The 16-year-old driver has a win at East Alabama Motor Speedway and also has starts in the first three weeks of WRS competition at Penton Raceway and Talladega Short Track.

Matthew Turner of Dawsonville, GA is second in the NeSmith Chevrolet WRS East Region standings with 188 points and two wins in three starts. Turner has wins at Penton Raceway and New Senoia Raceway. Chris Wilson of Crossville, TN is third with 149 points with two wins and a second-place finish in three starts at Mountain Raceway Park.

Richie Stephens of Phenix City, AL is fourth in the East Region standings with 148 points and two wins in three starts. Stephens has victories at East Alabama Motor Speedway and New Senoia Raceway.

Adam Gauldin of Talladega, AL and Kevin Maher of McDavid, FL are tied for the fifth spot in the East Region standings with 144 points apiece. Gauldin has three starts at Talladega Short Track with one win and Maher has three starts with three top five finishes at Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL.

Flomaton Speedway, which will be off this week, has a pair of drivers with three starts tied for the seventh spot in the East Region standings between David Odom of Century, FL and Josh Huss of Flomaton, AL, who has one win.

The 2008 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region Champion Adam Martin of Talladega, AL with three starts at Talladega Short Track, Hunter Best of Louisville, TN with three starts at Mountain Raceway Park, and Justin Summers of Greenback, TN with three starts at Mountain Raceway Park are tied for the ninth spot in the East Region standings. Each driver has 141 points.
