CARTERSVILLE, GA – There are five races in four different states on the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Week 25 schedule of events. The first of the those races took place on Monday night when Chris Bayhi of Pensacola, FL drove the Bayhi Racing Chevrolet to his second win of the 2015 season.
This Saturday night, NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Week 25 races will be held at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, TN, Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS with a $1,000-to-win event, Northwest Florida Speedway in Baker, FL and Southern Raceway in Milton, FL.
The Northwest Florida Speedway events will feature bonus money for the top four qualifiers, as they will pay $100, $75, $50, and $25 to the four finishers in the Dash For Cash. If the Dash For Cash winner elects to start the main event from the back of the pack and wins the big show, Bonus Money of at least $100 will be awarded. Drivers qualifying fifth on back will run in Heat Races that will pay $25-to-win.
The top three spots in the 2015 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division point standings have been decided. Richie Stephens of Salem, AL has clinched the National Champion with 700 points, and Brooks Strength of Raymond, MS has clinched the second spot with 697 points. Branden Harris of Molino, FL has clinched the third spot with 689 points.
The remaining seven points fund-paying spots are up for grabs in the final three weeks of the season as drivers will compete for a seat at the NeSmith Racing Annual Awards Banquet in January at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame and thunder Road Museum in Dawsonville, GA.
Steve Pate of Heflin, AL is fourth in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 669 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41. Larry Faulk of Monroeville, AL is fifth with 667 points and he will be trying to net on a 45. Falk finished fourth on Monday night at Flomaton Speedway, and has already gained two points.
Bo Bailey of Milton, FL is sixth in the standings with 666 points, and he will be trying to net on a 45. Jason Jarrell of Hattiesburg, MS is seventh in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 654 points, and he will be trying to net on a 45. Kevin Mitchell of Pensacola, FL is eighth with 649 points and he will be trying to net on a 41.
Jay Geddie of Ellisville, MS is ninth with 648 points and he will be trying to net on a 43. David Williamson of Seminary, MS rounds out the top ten in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 643 points and he will be trying to net on a 43.
The tenth and final points fund-paying position in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division point standings will be hotly contested during the last three weeks of the season. Brandon Kilpatrick of Jay, FL is just one point outside the tenth spot in the points chase in the 11[sup]th[/sup] spot with 642 points. Kilpatrick will be trying to net on a 40.
One driver that began Week 25 in the 14[sup]th[/sup] spot of the point standings with 614 points is Calvin Cook of Pace, FL. Cook finished second on Monday night at Flomaton Speedway and he collected 49 points in his 14[sup]th[/sup] and last week to earn full points. Cook now has 663 points, which would put him in the seventh spot in the point standings, but the points will not be officially updated until the conclusion of Week 25 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division competition.
Drivers in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division will compete against each other nationally using a points system that will count their best 14 weekly point totals over a 27-week season from March 23 through September 27. The $5,000 National point fund will pay $2,000 to the National Champion and pay back to the Top 10 drivers in the final point standings.
NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division competitors also have the option to compete with the economical steel-head 350 horsepower Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine that is available at NeSmith Chevrolet in Claxton, GA for $3,495 with free next day delivery anywhere in the Southeast.
