Never Seen This Coming!!!

I dont really think it is childish to come on here and back up a statement that you said when somebody makes your statement public like Cat did. I didnt even know this was going to be announced on here and I even was at the the same campsite all weekend with both of these guys. I myself was bummed to find out korte would not be in attendence also. But anyway CT00, best of luck on whoever's fan base you decide to join.

Biker 6403 thats where ur wrong Randy used to be very down to earth and very neat to talk to I dont know what Randy Korte you knew cus he used to always be about his fans

Not sure if you saw what he did for the kids and fans at Pevely the night of the nickle race or if you happen to notice the time he took for the Cub scouts Sunday night at Tri-City but stuck up is not the word. Remember people, for Randy this IS his JOB the race track is his place of business if he came into your office and wanted to bs with you about how fast you work or how he remembers your first day on the job you'd probably look at him like he has three heads. I wasn't a Korte fan when I was younger and I am now. Sorry that its expensive to run Eldora and you were dissappointed but i'm sure he's got a great reason maybe after the races when his head is clear you can go ask him why he didn't go. The Randy i know would be MORE than happy to answer your questions when he's not trying to mentally prepare for a race.

Sorry biker6403 got ahead of myself and quoted the wrong one

Well dirty girl thats fine and great what he did for the kids and fans prob a good thing before he looses all his fans and im talking about the ones that have been following him since the80 s

CT_00 - My sincere apologies to you and all of the other Korte fans on not attending the World 100. As you all know, I was out most of the year last year and came back this year not quite on my same game. I had every intention of attending the World 100 this year (as I have in the past); however, decided to skip out this year due to the fact that I wasn't on the top of my game and wasn't prepared to compete with the best in the business. My sponsor and I agreed that there are two VERY big races this weekend and we wanted to stay around home and get some extra practice at each of those two tracks in preparation for this weekend events. Again, I apologize for not attending, I hope you can understand.

I appreciate each and every one of the fans that follow this sport. I know everyone has heard this more than once, but it is the fans attending the tracks that allow me to do what I do every day. Without the fans supporting the tracks, we would not have tracks to race at. I do my best to acknowledge all of the fans, especially those that make special trips to see me at my hauler; however, sometimes I am still wondering what I could have done to make the car better, or what different line I could have ran to gain some ground, etc. I apologize to those of you that feel I have "changed" as a person. I learned a lot last year and feel that I am a better person now than ever.

I would also like to thank Kehrer Brothers Roofing and Joe and Dawn Kehrer for all they have done for me, as well as the guys that come and help me every night and every weekend at the races. Along with the fans, they are the ones that keep me going. I have a great program to work with and I am looking forward to finishing out this season and starting fresh next season.

Hope to see you all at Granite City Friday and I55 Raceway on Saturday Night!
Randy Korte

CT_00...
are you happy now that Randy apologized for not being at the World 100? Maybe you can be his fan again, huh? Waaaa, waaaaa, waaaaa !

So let me guess you two are as que_r as a three dollar bill? I dont find it good for you two to go to the races just to see guys run in circle chasing other guys tails!! We as race fans go cause we love the sport. Maybe you two should find you a much more gay sport like polo...

Kudos to Randy replying. not bashing anyone by any means, BUT i know both sides of the fence, from a drivers view and a spectators view. People in the stands see what happens at the track and the racing side of it. but people have to remember, the drivers do have a personal life that does sometimes conflict with the racing side. Also the economy ****s. For example at Eldora, for a race team to go, figure a couple hundred for fuel for the hauler to get to eldora and back, pit passes, new tires, prepping the car, spare parts, ect. you could have $1000 to $1500 before ya hit the track. Not including tire usage while racing and if the car doesnt break something while there. From a business stand point, if your not feeling 100% to spend that much against the best in the country, and financially more feesable to stay close and dial in the car for this week end, i dont blame Randy at all. Someone said it in another post, racing is Randy's business, so in my opinion it was a better business decision financially.
Also, what if Randy would have went, tore the car up, was out a bunch of money, and couldnt make the show this week end? then there would be people complaining that he went to Eldora to race but wont make the local races.
