BONNE TERRE, Mo. -- (May 27-28, 2006) Over 150 racers packed Big River Sand Drags for the Second Annual Missouri Open Invitational over the Memorial Day weekend, and on the second day of the event (Sunday, May 28) John Conner of Oak Grove, Mo. established a new ATV track record of 3.578 seconds over the 300-foot sand track at 89.71 mph. Conner backed that mark up by posting similar numbers at least three other times during the competition that evening.
However despite Conner's outstanding efforts, it was a pair of locals that stole the show in the Super Pro ATV class with Jason Waller of Bonne Terre winning first place and the top eliminator race and defending ATV overall track champion Erika Camden of Bonne Terre taking second place.

One of the reasons Big River is such a special place is because of it's people. With the schedule that we are faced with in the next month, not only will the regulars that attend BRSD have a blast, it's the kind of schedule that will put new people in the seats for the first time ever. That schedule is the effort of all of us. We now get a chance to show off what most have missed out on for years and years. Let's work our asses off and make June a month to remember for everyone!!!
By the way, thanks for the kind words Christi!
