Earl Walls, owner and promoter of CMS, recently announced the addition of the Bomber division for the 2009 season. Many people are currently faced with tough challenges, race drivers not excluded, and this division will provide an excellent opportunity for race enthusiasts to strap in and get behind the wheel at an equitable price. Additionally, the introduction of the Bombers may allow some drivers to get back into racing or to actually remain racing. The Bomber division is an affordable entry-level form of racing and unlike other "support" type divisions; drivers making the main event will have a payout waiting for them at the end of the night. In fact, the weekly winner will go home with $150 and drivers starting the main event will earn at least $30 for their efforts. Full pay-out information and rules for the new division as well as the track's other racing division rules and payouts are now available at www.centralmissourispeedway.net. The Bombers join the A-Modifieds, Street Stocks, and B-Modifieds on this year's weekly CMS program.

Walls' wife Susan, continues to build the CMS sponsor contingent and recently secured KOKO Radio, Comfort Inn Warrensburg Station, 98.5 The Bar, Pepsi and KMMO Radio as returning race night participants and sponsors with additional track partners to be announced. The season kicks off with one lone practice on April 18th with gates opening at 5 pm. KOKO Radio opening night gets underway the following week on April 25th for the start of the 22-week season. Fans will want to look out for new promotional items at the track this year including Kid's Passes and CMS Racing Bucks. Those wishing to purchase season passes should contact Susan Walls at (816) 229-1338 to make their purchase. This year's season pass prices include 18 regular nights of racing, plus three Friday special events and three Saturday special events. Prices are: Adults $250, Senior Citizens age 65 and up $200, and Children $150; a savings of at least $30 in each admission price range.

Fans are not the only ones who can save prior to race action hitting the track. Drivers wishing to compete at the track this year can send in their annual registration for $50 up until the end of February. After the first of March, driver registration increases to $60 for the remainder of the year. All drivers must register either prior to the season or on their first night of competition at the speedway. Send payment for registration to Central Missouri Speedway, 2807 S. Owens School Road, Independence, Missouri 64057. For registration forms contact Susan Walls at (816) 229-1338. Thirty-five drivers already pre-registered at the annual rules review and registration meeting recently held in January.

Several new loads of dirt were recently added to the racing surface and additional loads are planned as weather permits the new dirt to be worked in. Once things get underway fans and drivers can expect the usual fair and exciting racing they have come to expect for the last 16 years the Walls have owned the speedway. The Weekly Track Report will once again provide racers with a chance to see their names in the headlines every week and provide the fans with race results and point standings as well as exciting photographs from John Lee of High Fly 'N Photos. There are many opportunities for business partners to advertise at the track on a weekly basis including sign advertisements and banner ads, as well as ads within the pages of Track Report. Each week CMS sponsors are mentioned by name to the fans and drivers in attendance and thanked for their support of the races. Contact Susan Walls if you or your business would like to team with the track for 2009.
