No Hot Laps at I-55

What do the drivers think about not getting to hot lap at pevely? I think its a bad deal for the drivers, it gives them a chance to make sure everything is working properly. I don't know how many times I've seen people find problems with their car in hot laps and then fix it for the races. If not for hot laps the would have been screwed. For those of you who don't know, they plan to skip hot laps for half the classes then rotate the next week. Everybody needs the opportunity to hot lap.

hot laps is not the issue .keeing the race going and undermore control is ,when you have a yellow have a place to stop .and getting all the heats lined up would help aslo . its hard hearing Jason also

The track has a radio station so you can hear the announcers from your pit of you have a radio, 90.1. We had it on last night, but the reception was terrible.

I'm not a fan of the rotating hot laps at all. What about when guys like me have an issue, spend all week fixing it(or thinking we have) to go out, start front row and get run over when the car dies? Silly.

I agree that it's b/s not to give hot laps. After these guys spend all week and their time and money and you can't even give them 3 laps for a safety check. Come on!

No cookies just need people to state the facts. Why would you want to see a burnt up race track anyways? I agree rotate hotlaps.

I don't hotlap half the time but when I do I need to for a reason. If I cant but need to and I tear up half the field because something broke what can I say?
What I'm against is time trials, that is what messes me up more than anything, I suck at timing. NO reason to run a heat race if there are time trials, be like NASCAR. Good way to ruin racing in my opinion, keeps guys that have smaller motors like me from having a chance in their heats by putting us in the back. There are lots of racers that only do good on a tacky open track, then I got to do all I can not to hit them or be hit passing them once the track dries up and becomes a drivers race rather than and engines race. Just because transponders make it easy to do doesn't necessarily make it a good idea to do it. Runs off the small budget teams like myself.

I55 hot lapped all classes Saturday night. It was announced in drivers meeting starting this weekend late models will hot lap every week and half the rest of the classes will rotate every other week. Why hot lap 3 classes and not all five? Two more classes take another whole 10 or fifteen minutes? The 6 B-mods they had are gonna take so much more time that they are gonna stop hot lapping all classes like they've done forever? Really that lazy? Cmon I55 this is ridiculous drivers need hot laps to shake the car out....

They have not hot lapped the pro 4 s on regular basis for some time get them lined up properly and everyone can hot lap

I personally like hot laps Most of the time i worked on my car for whatever reason and was kind of nice to shake it down Time trials while hot laps just ads to the possibility of a crash Ive seen way too many people drive all out on a wer soupy track and crash people Anyone remember dwayne keifer drilling the car at tri city? Track was wet wet wet and some were driving like on egg shells Some were not
