OKS STOCK 13 hp CLONE OVER 30 YEARS OLD CLASS

Scott,
the curernt engines rules are "engine must be stock". No person is policing it..can i start cheating unitll specifics are given? This is what happened to the 6.5 clone class {the " engines must be stock" phrase doesn't cut it!} exchane plan will work..think about it before complaining about it! K.h. <why dont we just exchange entire karts? Come on now with all the silly!>

This is just my opinion exchange is not a good option, reason being what happens if you get a motor that was ran hot the week before or was started and ran with no oil
(dont tell me it dont happen we all have done it) so now your getting a motor that is damaged and it melts down or blows up and your out a motor because you were
told you had to swap. Now I think most of you would ticked off big time because now youve got to go buy another motor. I would either seal them up after they were teched
or do a claim or exchange with the driver being claimed having choice. The only way any of this will work is you have to have tech and dont pay big money, spread the money down in the
field so everyone gets a little piece of the pie.

Here is what I am thinking everyone. I am thinking about going with the engine swap in the trophy class, and I am thinking about the claim and exchange in the pro class. Both will probably have the same tire rule in the end.
I will post my final rules on each one of the classes very soon.

For those that do not understand, the series will not start till 2011. I am getting my ducks in a row so everyone can plan .

Slicks only.... because i am going to in the end have a Burris tire rule and you will see what the tire rule is. It will be easy and some tracks we will be running do not allow treads anyway, so make it simple and put everyone on slicks upfront.
Slicks will be faster anyway, even in outlaw class when everyone is on the slicks.

the resolutive comment will be "what goes around comes around"! These engines are pretty tough, as i havn't changed my oil in 2 races..shame on me! Again, the exchange is best solution for the ongoing "cheating issues".

That is why you are not winning.....lol

OK..... instead of sealing all the motors or claiming here is what I think may be even a better idea i heard today.....

Every raceday when we get there and sign in 4 motors get traded by pill draw every night. So if 5 shows up.. 4 are getting traded... if 20 shows..... 4 are getting traded...

You take off your clutch basically and throttle assembly .

I don't understand why you want to exchange motors every week, or at all. If some one wants the motor, claim it.
Would you like to lose your motor every week? I don't think so, unless what you run is trash. Also, what if somebody comes in for 1 night, they could take your good motor and never return. THAT IS STUPID.
Lastly, why would anyone want to get to the track and then switch motors, or at the end of the night, when they are tired and want to go home, have to take off thier motor and give it away?????????????

Think about it, this is a good way to lose racers!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rich, whats STUPID is people not understanding intention of the rules! WE DON'T WANT THIS CLASS TO BE ANOTHER OUT OF CONTROL, ACCUSATIONOUS CHEATING 6.5 CLONE CLASS! WHAT DONT YOU GUYS UNDERSTAND ABOUT THAT??? TALK ABOUT WHAT'S STUPID!!!!!!! I think the concern of losing your engine will discourage the cheating..matter of a fact i know it will! I really believe this hardcore approach is necessary to keep the class fun and economical! Are you concerned of losing your $300 engine and gaining another equally pepared $300 engine? ...you shouldn't! I do understand these engines will eventually have problems as any other engine does but, for the most they will be trouble free..eventually the promoter/track will have a spare engine onhand to replace any bad ones. Just remember, if you give a turd you will soon enough get a turd! ***This a new class so, old rules shouldn't apply!
-i've pleaded my last case on the rules. let the judge decide.

As I have said... the 30 and over class will have the the echange as they wish. I am having this class no matter what.

I will have a second class for everone else that is 16years and older and a money class with a claim attached and exchanged
to see how that goes and will call that class the 13hp pro.... the claim will be $100 and exchange and that should keep the costs
down in this class. more may come on the pro class.

Then all you that claim you will support such a class, let us see which class gets bigger. I will post moreon the rules on the pro class.

the 30 and over class will have 4 motors exchanged at each race as we have agreed. This will be a trophy class and we will
have a burris tires rules as we have said all along on ss 33 only next year with 400 weight for 2011.

I hope to get a $25 sponsor for this class for every race as well. Anyone with a suggestion, for a sponsor feel free to contact me.

I will also give a set of Burris ss33 to the champion of any class we average 6 or more entries in a trophy class.

Gee Dustin, I never thought of it that way. Oh, but, I may have an engine that is about to shoot craps, what do I do with it? I bring it to the track and exchange it for a better one. The heck with the rules, I just got a good engine from some poor unexpecting racer. It doesn' have to be OUT OF CONTROL for a class to work. What has blown this clone class up is the same as every other class. MONEY.!!!! 3 years ago flatheads ruled, but the time was coming where there would be no more flathead blocks or spare parts. Enter the Animal or Clone engine. The way of the future. Get used to it, no matter what you race, MONEY will ruin it. You don't have to take away someone's engine, unless you want to claim it.
Put your money where you race.

The claim rule will be in place in the pro class.

To be able to exchange all 4 of them will be started and ran. If one is found un fit , of course it will stay with the current owner.

But first, you'll need to find 4 fools willing to swap engines.Racer Rik,you are on the money regarding karting in general.JMO

First off, the only fools would be the ones not participating and setting on the stands complaining like old women about why everyone doesn't agree with them everytime!! You have an engine thats about to shoot craps.. yeah, OK..like you would know that it was "about" to break????? Come on...not gonna happen! If you have a problem from the last weeks performance, you would reveal that and would be noted by promoter and a loaner engine would be in store.. Simple.

Dustin, if I had run a motor for 15 races, and didn't want to have to pay to get it refreshed, I would bring it, and swap it for a better one. I am sure that no one there will tell anybody that there motor is not in top notch condition.
"It ran good last week, and I am sure it will run good this week too."

C'mon Dustin. What are you smokin? Besides your motor....lol

Seriously, I would not want anything to do with ANY race where I would lose my motor like that. And, I am sure that if you take care of your motor, you wouldn't want to give it up either.

This is my last statement on this subject. If you want some one to argue with you, you will have to go somewhere else.

Hutch, good luck, but as I have stated, I think like John Hobson, it is a losing battle.

Agree with Rich 100%.... I would never give up my motor if it was me.....why don't late model, sprint car, or midget racers ever come to the track and swap motors? Hell why don't they do it in NASCAR lol.....I wish this class ALL the luck in the world at starting off....and for those of you who want it this way I hope you guys have people to race against and even more importantly all have fun!

it's pecimestic(sp?) people like you that will be watching the class then! i guess you and john can sit and complain how bad things are too! i really dont care if it's the sealed, exchange, claim, or cheated up (as it soon will be if not regulated NOW but i do think it's a ledgitimate agrue. By the way Rich, i don't smoke anything.. you must.
