One of St. Louis' Racing Legends passed away today..

Man this is sad. Carl was one of the best people I ever had the pleasure to meet and know. He was super smart and wise. I know I learned alot from him. He was one of the people that made Allied into one of the best organizations in the country. I am so sorry to hear this and thaughts are with his family. God speed Carl Roger,Mary Stryker and family

Carl excited fans as a driver. He loved to bounce the #14 off the walls at St. Charles.

I am very sorry he has passed. My condolences to the family.

I like everyone else am sad to hear Carl finally has passed on. At least now he has a clean bill of health. I am proud to have known him, but even more proud to have been able to call him my friend. From our first conversation to our last he always put a smile on my face and took much interest in what I had to say. I don't think the man ever met a stranger. I don't know if there is anyone I respect(ed) more. He dedicated most of his life to racing in our area, especially to A.A.R.A. and for that I am grateful. Like I've said before, I was a fan of Carl's when he raced, but I am a much bigger fan of the person he was!

Thoughts and prayers to Carl's loved ones.

Rest in peace my friend.......

Andy Marlow

On behalf of the entire Springer family we would like to thank you all for the support you have given us. The literally hundreds of people reaching out just shows us how great Carl really was.

Though I was not lucky enough to have the pleasure of seeing him race, I have story after story of those times. He was a great racer, a great engine builder, mentor, friend and above all else a family man.

We look forward to seeing you all.

My condolences to Carl's family. I'm sure he has a seat in one of his beloved Allied Super Sportsmen and know he'll drive the wheels off it. RIP Carl.

Very sad to hear about Carl. He was one of the pioneers in the StL area and very much a big part of Allied. As a youth I grew up watching him and it seemed like his specialty was the 100 lap events. Watched him win several of those with that 500 cid big block chevy. Thoughts are with his family. He was truly one of the LEGENDS of Allied. The Mineman Bros.
