Opens,Clones,& Wing Sprints set for BIG money races at Cerro Gordo Speedway

Within the next 2 weeks at Cerro Gordo Speedway the Opens, Wing Sprint Karts, and the Adult Clone 380 are set to take the stage. This week at Cerro Gordo Speedway the Unilli Money Series returns after multiple tries due to Mother Nature. This series pay $1000.00 to win and $500.00 for each position second threw fifth each night of the series for the Adult Clone 380. With the Pro Kart Tour hosting a event in Missouri and a no kart minimum it will leave the door open for many locals and Illinois drivers to bring home some big money. The Adult Clone 380 and Wing Sprint Karts will also have a chance to shake down there karts for the following Saturday, June 15th for the first ever Hoosier Dirt Duals. Each class will be paying $1000.00 to win, $500.00 for second, $250 for third and fourth and fifth will receive a free set of Hoosier tires. There will also be a no kart minimum for this event. The Opens will also have back to back historic weekend at the Speedway as this Friday night they will have there first ever Schaeffer Oil Shootout. It will be a $400 to win purse with a 15 kart minimum. A nice pay day and a nice size trophy will be awaiting the winner. They to will not only be racing for a big prize but also looking for way to improve speed as they to will return the following Saturday as for the first time in the tracks history it will play host to the IL/IN UAS Series.

All of our weekly classes which include Wing Sprint Karts at the Cerro Gordo Speedway will be on hand this Friday night 6/7. All weekly classes at the Cerro Gordo Speedway are a open tire rule and pay a 70% payback. Gates open at 4pm, hotlaps at 630pm and racing around 7. Grandstands are free and pit passes are $15.

Saturday June 15th classes will include, Jr1, Jr3, Adult Clone 360, and Adult Clone 400, which will all be run under open tire rule and our weekly rules and procedures. The Hoosier Dirt Duals for the Adult Clone 380 and the Outlaw Wing Sprint Kartwill be ran under a Hoosier Tire Rule. The Opens will be ran under the IL/IN UAS Open Series rules. We will be running a weekly show on Friday June 14th the night before for all of our weekly classes including Opens, and Wing Sprint Karts.
