September 4th & 5th will mark a high point in the season for Lake Ozark Speedway (LOS) for 2004. The O'Reilly ASCS National Touring Series 360's will be making their first ever appearance at the new state of the art facility for the 1st Annual LOS 360 Nationals in what will surely be two great nights of racing. The top 360 drivers in the nation will be on hand to compete for the $5000 winners share of the $38,000 two day purse.

Hooks, TX, ace Gary Wright leads the O’Reilly ASCS National Tour into this weekend’s LOS 360 Nationals, coming off a weekend sweep through Paris, TX, and Little Rock, AR, that extended his career ASCS win total to 88.

With the weekend sweep, Wright stretched his current series point lead to 52 markers over defending series champion Travis Rilat of Forney, TX. Wright also overtook Rilat on the 2004 series victory chart, running his total to seven wins in comparison to Rilat’s six triumphs. Wright's finishing record has been remarkable, as he has yet to finish outside the top-ten through 25 feature events.

2001 series champion Zach Chappell of Talala, OK, a winner at Nebraska Raceway Park, enters the weekend ranked third in points, with 1992 kingpin Garry Lee Maier in fourth. While Maier has yet to break into the winner’s circle on the National Tour, he has notched three Regional triumphs.

Carthage, MO, shoe Toby Brown rounds out the current top-five in points entering this weekend, with three-time 2004 feature winner Darren Stewart of Bixby, OK, sixth in points. Brodix Rookie of the Year contenders A.G. Rains (West Memphis, AR) , Sam Hafertepe, Jr. (Sunnyvale, TX), Jimmy Taylor (Oklahoma City, OK) and Natalie Sather (Fargo, ND) round out the current top ten in points, with Sapulpa, OK, teen Cody Branchcomb just ten points out of the top ten.

The rugged National Tour regulars will square off with plenty of stiff competition during the LOS 360 Nationals, including a host of local pilots led by current Lake Ozark Speedway point leader Randy Martin of California, MO. Other top shoes expected for the weekend include Shane Stewart (Bixby, OK), Billy Alley (Lincoln, NE) and Jason Johnson (Eunice, LA) among many others for a stout field of more than 50 cars for the two day shootout.

Modifieds will also be running both nights for a combined purse of over $8000 that pays $1000 to win on Saturday and $1500 to win on Sunday.

Saturday tickets are only $10.00 for adults and children 12 and under are free (with an adult). Sunday tickets are $15.00 for adults and $6.00 for children 6 to 12. For more information, visit us at www.lakeozarkspeedway.com or call 573.302.4499
