BATESVILLE AR. Mooney Starr, Pesident of the O'Reilly Auto Parts Mid-America Racing Series announced an increase in the 2004 Rookie of the Year Point Fund. The Rookie of the Year award will now be called the Kuntz & Company, in association with Rockhard Powder Coating Rookie of the Year.
The top finishing rookie in 2004 will recieve $5,000 from the series, up from the $3,000 that it has been since 2001 when the rookie of the year program was initiated. Second place in rookie points will remain $1,000, with third place $500.

BATESVILLE AR. Mooney Starr, president of the O'Reilly Auto Parts Mid-America Racing Series announced one addition to the 2004 schedule today. Malden Speedway has been added to the schedule for one date on Friday, June 18. Tri-City Speedway had originally been scheduled for that Friday, and will now run on Sunday June 20. The West Plains Motor Speedway will remain scheduled for Saturday, June 19 between the two events.
