LEXINGTON, KY -- After a weekend that saw the third rain-out of the young 2006 Season at Ponderosa Speedway and Greg Johnson of Bedford, IN pick up the win in the 23rd Annual Hoosier Dirt Classic at Brownstown Speedway, the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series presented by Arizona Sport Shirts ventures back to Central Kentucky with stop #4 of the 2006 Season this Friday, April 28th, at the Richmond Raceway in Richmond, KY and stop #5 this Saturday, April 29th, at the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY.
On Friday Night, April 29th, Richmond Raceway will host a special Friday night event for the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series with a $3000 paycheck awaiting the winner of the Spring Shootout. It will be a complete program for the O’Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series with Racing Optics Time Trials, Mason Racin'/Arizona Sport Shirts Heats Races, Design 500 B-Mains, and the 40-lap O'Reilly Auto Parts A-Main.
On Saturday, April 29th, the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series travels down Martha Layne Collins/Bluegrass Parkway to Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY for the 9th Annual Spring Sizzler paying $3000 to win. Past winners of the Spring Sizzler include Don O'Neal, Mike Hawley, Terry English, Rick Corbin, and Shannon Babb. Again, a full night of racing is planned with Racing Optics Time Trials, Mason Racin'/Arizona Sport Shirts Heats, Design 500 B-Mains, and the 30-lap O'Reilly Auto Parts A-Main.
