Over $25,000 on the line this Saturday at the 6th Annual Sportsman Fall Dirt Nationals at I-55 Racew

Pevely, MO (September 30, 2007) The Allied Auto Racing Association presents the 6th Annual Missouri/Illinois Dodge Dealers "Bud Pohle Memorial" Sportsman Fall Dirt Nationals at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, MO on Saturday, October 6th. The Sportsman main event winner could pocket as much as $9,000 as the event presents a unique payout format. First place in the main event will pay $2,600. However, every single lap of the 50 lap event will pay bonus money to the leader with a minimum of $100 for every lap lead. Certain special laps will pay more, up to $500 to lead a certain lap. Making the total just over $9,000 to win if a driver leads all fifty laps. Every car earning a starting spot in the A-Main is guaranteed a minimum of $150.

This is the sixth year for this event and the purse is 100% guaranteed.

The Sportsman will also have a Hoosier Tire Champions Challenge in which all 2007 Sportsman Track Champions and previous Fall Nationals Champions will race for $200 to win.

Two other classes will also be part of the Fall Nationals, the Pure Stock division (bomber, street stock type cars) and the Pro 4 Stocks (hornet, 4 cylinder factory stock type cars). SKI Soda is the title sponsor for the Pure Stock class, which a driver can earn up to $1,750 for the victory with lap money in the twenty lap main event. The Pro 4 Stocks winner can earn up to $800 for a victory with lap money in their twenty lap main event.

One lucky fan will go home with $500 in the LINE-X of Jefferson County Fan Challenge. Fans names will be drawn and assigned to each driver starting the Sportsman A-Main and whoever's driver wins, gets the $500.

The pit gate will open at 10am on Saturday with tech beginning at 11am. All cars must go through tech before they will be allowed to compete. The grandstand gate will open at 3pm. The pill draw will close and the driver's meeting will begin at 4pm. Hotlaps will take to the track at 4:15pm and racing will begin at 5pm.
