Paducah & I-55's NDRL event rescheduled for April 12 & 13

I think it's awesome they were able to schedule the two back to back and we only have to wait a couple weeks to see it.

Jamaica, VA — With the April 13th season opener just 30 days away anticipation for the first race of the season is escalating and registrations have started to pour in from all five divisions.

Officials are busy getting the track and grounds ready for what should be a tremendous 2013 season. With the addition of the Pro (Crate) Late Model division speedway officials are expecting to see some new faces competing for the tracks coveted championships.

“We are really excited to get the 2013 season under way as we put all our focus on our weekly competitors and our dedicated local fans’” commented Track General Manger Clarke Sawyer.

For 2013 the speedway will feature the Victory Lap Late Model, Fastrak Pro (Crate) Late Model, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified and Collision One Limited Stock divisions. Champions will be crowned in each division and each driver will also compete for an overall track title in the Virginia Army National Guard Dirt Series. The Dirt Series title will net the overall champion an additional $2000 payday.

The speedway is currently accepting registrations for the 2013 season. Competitors can obtain a 2013 registration form by going to the tracks website or by calling the speedway Monday through Friday 10am through 3pm at (804) 758-1867.

Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway, an ASA Member Track, is a 1/2-mile, dirt oval. The track is located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA in Jamaica, VA. The speedway is just a short drive from Richmond, Fredericksburg, Southern Maryland and the Hampton Roads area.

I have been holding back on this but now I will get this off my chest! You all cry babies on here do NOT realize that you have the best racing and the best local racers in the USA sitting on your front door step. You have 4 tracks in the St. Louis area that you can go to. 2 on Friday nights and 2 on Saturday nights. If you don't want to go to any of these tracks then drive another hour and go to whatever track you want to. You complain about the NDRL date now if you don't want to see some good racing and pay the price then go to Highland or some other track. Ray and John Kennedy did what they seen fit to do and if you don't like the date and want to see other drivers then some of the best then go somewhere else!!!! You all need to take a chill pill!

Lets go racin...I'm sure plenty of good drivers will still make it this way for $20,000 to win....not to mention a great modified race. I get to spend quality time with my boys.

and really with the woo all we would have had this weekend from them was clanton, fuller, coffey, and t mac i wanna say. imo id rather see all the lucas guys there if i had to pick....still gonna have a big and stacked field...i looked to as soon as i got home last night and not really one weekend looked good the rest of the year.

Still going to be a great weekend regardless of WoO running. Yeah they'll lose McCool, Smith, Clanton, Lanigan, Bagley, TMac, Fuller, Wells, and potentially Richards if he was planning on coming, and Moyer Jr if he sticks to the tour, but I imagine more local and regional talent will show up now since their chance of making the show has increased.

i know these cars will be their next sat. according to their schedule

I haven't checked many websites yet, but saw where Randy Weaver will be at both events as well. Can't wait to see him and Davenport run up here.
