(From the Paducah Sun Media Tower) Paducah International Raceway is pleased to announce that it will be celebrating the 2006 racing season with a Banquet of Champions Friday January 5th, 2007 at Harrah’s Metropolis Casino & Hotel.
The banquet honoring the 2006 champions will pay tribute not only to the champions but also to the top 10 drivers of each class, fans, car owners, sponsors and track officials. This event will recognize the extraordinary efforts by drivers and teams that participated in the inaugural season at Paducah International Raceway under the new ownership.
The Social hour starts at 5:30 pm with Dinner at 6:30 and the awards banquet to follow at 8 pm. The event, which has limited seating available, will highlight the achievements of the 2006 season and preview the 2007 season that are set to begin in March. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be sold at the door.
NASCAR Stars Dale Earnhardt Jr, Ken Schrader and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Paducah International Raceway in November of 2005. Two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart joined the trio of Co-Owners as a partner in September of 2006. The 3/8th mile high banked oval will host several high profile events including three NASCAR Nights, The USA World 50, and the Tri-Track Challenge. Paducah International Raceway races every Friday night and is located of Interstate-24 at exit 11 in Paducah, Kentucky.
