Paducah International Raceway To Have Full Program This Friday

Paducah International Raceway will continue with its weekly racing program this Friday June 22.
All divisions will be racing including the UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks, UMP 4 Cylinder Warriors, the CARS Crate Late Models, and the Winged Outlaw Mini-Sprints. This Friday will also include the Miss PIR finals. Anyone interested in representing Paducah International Raceway as a goodwill ambassador may register at the track on Friday prior to the nights racing. Contestants must be 18 years of age or older and will represent Paducah International Raceway at selected events throughout the area.

Pit gates will open at 4pm with the grandstand gate opening at 5pm. General admission is $10.00 for adults with children 12 and under FREE Pit Pass will be $25.

We are just 7 days away from the UMP Summernationals annual stop at PIR. The series whick pays over 3/4 of a million dollars in total purse money will make it stop on a Thursday night and will pay $6000 to win and $500 to start. Some of the drivers following the tour this year are
Don O’Neal, Dennis Erb Jr., Mike Marlar, Rodney Melvin, Randy Korte and Jeep VanWormer.
Drivers expected to be at PIR are Billy Moyer, Wendell Wallace, Bill Frye, Justin Ratliffe,
All of these drivers will be doing battle with our very own and very tough local drivers such as Kevin Cole, Randy Sellars, John Tindal, Phil Walker (last weeks feature winner), Dylan Thompson, and Terry English plus many more. Last years race had fans standing on their feet as the many time Summernationals champion Shannon Babb added to his record breaking victory total. The race will take place on Thursday June 28th.

NASCAR Stars Dale Earnhardt Jr, Ken Schrader and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Paducah International Raceway in November of 2005. Two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart joined the trio of Co-Owners as a partner in September of 2006. The 3/8th mile high banked oval will host several high profile events including three NASCAR Nights, The USA World 50, and the Tri-Track Challenge. Paducah International Raceway races every Friday night and is located off Interstate-24 at exit 11 in Paducah, Kentucky.
