Paducah International Raceway officials are excited to have the USA World 50 and Wayne Coakley Memorial this Friday Night on the High Banks of PIR. Officials from PIR, UMP, and the MARS Series worked together to get this date rescheduled for the USA World 50. With PIR already having the Wayne Coakley Memorial scheduled for the 18th of September all interested parties involved decided this date would be the best not only for the racers but also to honor the late Wayne Coakley. The USA World 50 /Wayne Coakley Memorial will be a 50 lap, $5,000 to win Late Model race with some of the best drivers in the Midwest vying for the feature win. Thirty Six Late Model teams checked in for the August 28th date and we are expecting all of those and some extra drivers to come race with us on the 18th of September. Among the drivers expected are Jason Fegers, Dennis Erb, Randy Korte, The Intimigator Chris Wall, Brian Shirley, Dustin Mooneyham, Eric Turner, Bill Frye, Will Vaught, plus our extremely strong local contingent of Terry and Tanner English, Randy Sellers, Kevin Cole, Jason Riggs, Jason McBride, John Tindal, Tim Brown, Chris Shelton and Tony Vancil and many more.

The World 50/ Wayne Coakley Memorial will be a UMP/MARS sanctioned event and points will be awarded to both series. There will be a tire rule in effect for this race LM 40 and WRS 55 will be the tires that will be used, teams can use a LM 20 on the left front only. Other classes running with the Late Models will be the UMP Modified, UMP Pro Late Model (Crate), UMP Street Stock and the UMP 4 Cylinder Warriors. Pit Gates will open at 3:00pm.
