(Paducah, KY) Paducah International Raceway will jump-start the Memorial Day Holiday weekend with a special tribute recognizing the United States of America Armed Forces.

PIR will pay tribute to the men and women of the Armed Forces past and present by admitting any one in uniform or with a current or past Military ID in for half price of the regular admission. Paducah International Raceway is proud of the men and women who have sacrificed their time with their families to protect our great country and home. In addition, Paducah International Raceway will have a car bashing to help raise money for building the Kentucky Veteran and Patriot Museum.

Racing this weekend at Paducah International Raceway will be all classes including the UMP Late Models that saw Kevin Cole win his 4th feature event in a row and 5 of the last 6 events. Cole who has worked all grooves on the racetrack currently has a 24-point lead over Randy Sellars and 84 points over Joe Mike both of Mayfield. The Modified Division has a family affair going on with Dustin and Steve Ladd second and third respectively chasing point leader Justin Houston. Tim Walker of Grand Rivers and Jeff Elliot of Mayfield round out the top 5 in points in the Modifieds. The CARS Crate Late Model Series has only 12 points separating Josh Harris of Utica, KY. and last years PIR track champion Jeff Walston. Ricky Gilbert is in third trailing the leader by just 16 points. Other point leaders include Mike Watson of West Paducah in the UMP Street Stock Division, Jarrett Cathey in the Outlaw Mini-Sprints and Keith Mayo in the 4-Cylinder Warrior Division.
