Thanks to an uncooperative Mother Nature, it took him three days to take two wins but Sunday, Jeremy Payne took his second "A" Mod victory of the weekend. Payne did not fair as well in the Late Models as the SuperClean Diamond Nationals drew to a close.
"We kind of missed the set up a bit," said Payne after the event, "we just didn't have anything for these guys tonight."
It was completely the opposite as he transitioned to his Andy's Frozen Yogurt Modified as he bested the field from flag to flag. Tonight, teammate Eric Turner joined him in the AAA Winner's Circle as Turner could not run Payne down in the closing laps. Jamie Ragland who also had a very strong weekend finished 3rd.
"We want to thank all the racers and fans that hung with us this weekend," said Kevin Greven, General Track Manager. "We battled the weather for three days and it means a lot to us that so many stayed from both sides, I think we ended up with a great final product."
Next up for the Diamond of Dirt Tracks, the KTTS FM COUNTRY Night at the Races featuring the O'Reilly POWRi Midgets. Help us fill the area food pantries this weekend and catch an awesome race night in the process.
