Pevely scales!

Justin Ketrow had the fastest modified in the field tonight behind Mike Harrison. We started 7th in the heat and finished 2nd. When we went across the scales, we came up 4 pounds short. Because we aren't a local racer, we in turn got DQed. There were other modified drivers that also weighed light and they also felt the scales or the person at the scales were wrong. We have raced several different tracks this year (including A.A.R.A Belleclair Speedway) and not ONCE have we had a problem with being light or even being CLOSE to being light. And the one night that we run Pevely and actually have a good run, Allied F***S us. So we out ran their local guys, and we in return get punished. Thanks for the invite, we wont being returning.

Sincerely,
Michael P "Pepsi"

P.S. Maybe we were 4 pounds light because of the hair and skin loss from the fuel explosion last week at Highland Speedway.

Here is a tip for you, when your racing at new tracks the first thing you do when you unload is take the car to the scales that always worked for us.

I feel bad for Justin because of his great drive he did a awesome job. The problem is everyone went over the same scales and to my knowledge he was the only car that was light. 4 lbs did not effect his drive to the front. If you run that close to the edge sometimes you fall off, but not knowing that it is that close is not allieds fault.

Heres a better tip for you.....Don't run allied. they (allied) have been doing this for years to people who don't run with them on a weekly bases, thats what happens when you out run one of their boys. Just wondering how many people this has happened to through out the years...? By the way has anyone ever seen one of their boys light on the scales ? probably not.

So how is Allied screwing anyone over if they come across the scales light? The scales Allied uses has a digital readout that the driver can see when they pull up on them. So the Allied official simply shows them what they weigh.

If you are light, you are light. Whether it is 1lb and 100lbs... The rules say a specific weight, you either meet the weight or get DQ'd.

Some tracks may let it go, but at least Allied enforced the rules.

yep dang ole Allied changes the scales for non local driver lmao

Yup that guy running the scales changed it right as ketrow weighed. I wonder if he can do that to my bathroom scale?

Is this guys post for real? I am not allieds biggest fan by any means. I've seen them pull some shady stuff, but this is just ludacris

Do these scales EVER get re-calibrated? With them hauling them around in the back of van between tracks every week, can they really be that accurate! For instance.. WE have been Dq'd once for being light..! Which is a laugh.Never had a problem before! But,just once when our car came in top 5, car was Dq'd for being light! Our car scales/weighs 3000 lbs! .. WITHOUT the driver, then you add the driver, plus 20 gallons of fuel( 25 lbs for every 5 gallons of fuel!) at the start of the feature and you only burn up 5 gallons up racing! Car.. 3000 lbs, fuel.. 75 lbs.. driver 200... lbs! Please tell me how our sportsman could have POSSIBLY scaled light after a race? Don't say it can not happen because IT does! Also with the plastic that covers it it is very difficult for a driver to see, if there is a glare on the screen! By the way that night, the guy at the scales said our was 50 pounds light!

Justin has run Allied for years that is just a misinformed statement. Promoters are not in looking to drive people away. With your logic it would be like putting the blame on the cop for your speeding ticket. To say its flawed is kind.

simple solution get on the scales when you get there and possibly knowing the weight penalties

There is SO much wrong with this entire post!!!!! Every driver knows scales vary!!!! Every driver knows to go scale their car if they are at a new place, SPECIALLY if your running on the edge like that. Take some responsibility on yourself for not doing what you needed to do before entering competition. This is something my five year old would do. Give me a break. There's way too many of you that can never look in the mirror and have to blame everyone else in the world for your fricken mistakes. Grow the hell up!!!!!

Joe Hoener. Ya damn right I said it.

Im pretty sure ol boy at the scales dont know or care where it is you came from. jmo

i believe the winner of a heat race in the late models was light friday night. if you run that close sometimes you lose. they check, get over it.

it's all been said before what it truly boils down to is track and officials pets we all know this is true you bust your a** all week long to get ready for race night or nights just to go to another track that your not a regular at and oh you bring you A GAME and get up in the top 5 and they want to go over your set up or car with a fine tooth comb because if not...... the track pets start their whining like a toddler because somebody just out drove or out raced them and didn't tear up the car doing it get over yourself when somebody questions the fact of which that the scales aren't right sorry its just the same as if you have scales in your garage or in someone else's place they do get bounced around and they get knocked out of whack and they need calibrated
