Millstadt, IL – The O’Reilly POWRi presented by Lucas Oil 600cc Outlaw Micro Sprint Series is set to invade the Washington Town and Country Fair in Washington, MO on Saturday August 9th. Back by popular demand, this will be the second year for the micro sprints at the fair. Last year, Derek King of Vienna, IL and Daniel Robinson of Wayne City, IL battled for 30 laps with King winning by a nose over Robinson. Contact in turn 4 of the final lap actually had King and Robinson locking nerf bars together with both of them staying hard in the gas to the checkered flag bringing the large crowd to their feet. An even larger crowd is expected this year for the $1000 to win POWRi main event. The popular 80’s band “Huey Lewis and the News” will also be at the fair to perform after the Micro Sprint event.
Washington pit gates open at 1:00pm with hot laps beginning at 5:30 PM and racing at 6:00 PM.
