POWRi National Midget Series and 600cc Outlaw Mini Sprints visit Tri-City Speedway & Belle-Clair Spe

Friday 4.30 Tri-City Speedway and Saturday 5.01 Belle-Clair Speedway


Millstadt, IL - The POWRi National Midget and 600cc Outlaw Micro Sprint Series will try again this weekend to begin the outdoor racing season Friday April 30th at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City IL and on Saturday May 1st at Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville IL. This will be the first of six visits to the 3/8 mile clay oval at Tri-City Speedway. The following night the series invades the lightning fast 1/5 mile bull ring for the first of many visits to Belle-Clair Speedway.

The April 30th running of the inaugural “Kevin Doty Classic” at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL. will showcase the nation’s top drivers on the exciting 3/8 mile dirt oval in a race honoring the memory of the late Milan, IL. driver who perished in a crash at Sun Prairie Wisconsin in 2005.

Austin Brown of Millstadt, IL and 2007 POWRi Midget Champ Brad Loyet of Sunset Hills, MO share the early lead after one event in the midget point standings followed by defending champ Brad Kuhn, Tyler Robbins and Shane Cockrum rounding out the top 5. In the 600cc Micro Sprints Jeremy Camp of Blue Mound, IL takes the early lead after winning the series opener at Duquoin, IL followed by Gregg Dillion, Nic Harris, Andrew Felker and Nick Ivy rounding out the top five.
