On top of competing for a $3,000 pay day at Volunteer Speedway on May 4th, drivers of the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance will also be vying for a provisional starting spot in the $5,000 to win 2nd Annual Damn Yankees 50 at Richmond Raceway on September 28th. Last season, Zach Dohm, collected the win at Richmond Raceway in one of the most thrilling races of the 2018 season.
“The Damn Yankees 50 is definitely a race that we are looking forward to,” said FASTRAK Vice President DJ Irvine, “The Lupinos family wanted to do something for the May 4th race at Volunteer Speedway and will be there to personally congratulate the winner and award them with a provisional starting spot.”
Drivers competing at Volunteer Speedway on May 4th can use any series’ crate spec tire on the front but must have FT200 or FT400 on the rear. There will be no grooving or siping of any tire, as the May 1st deadline for grooving and siping will have passed.
There will be an open practice at Volunteer Speedway on Friday, May 3rd for all divisions. An insurance test will be held for the FASTRAK Future Stars Tour drivers under age 16 on Friday as well.
