I run a 84 monte carlo at farmington, Mo with basically same rules as you. A well built 355 works very well with saginaw 3 speed or 2 speed power glide. Go to speedwaymotors.com for cage and body. Go to jrmotorsports for engines and trans or SCP speed shop in High Ridge MO. SCP is where I buy alot of Parts. Any questions let me know and good luck.

Signed, Paul Dart (BCH Racing)
