don't see why it's called the queens royal any more with runny all the class's it's just another weekend joke show.

Ain't nobody said you had to go..... And didn't your mother ever tell ya, "if ya didn't have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything at all.....

i'm just saying that in years past that there was only two or three class's run and that it was nothing to see at least 45 sprints sitting in the pits it's not a special show anymore.from what i was told there was only around 18 or 19 sprints there this past sat we had that many in 3 b features up at wheatland there could be more effort put in to the show by management to make it better it could be made a all sprint show be getting a hold of other tracks and have another class of sprints like 305's there are plenty of those to make a good show they probably don't make much more then what the a mods get paid.

Comparing a regular Saturday night non-points show to a special 2 day ASCS 360 show is pretty ridiculous.

The 305s have already been tried in this area. The most that ever showed was 7 in 1 night. Now that would be a great show to watch. These 360 guys talk about how many are out there and how they can run with the 410s. Bring on the 360s and show the track how they can dominate the car count over 410s, maybe the track might be interested in them. The only 360 that has ever impressed me against the 410s was Dean Adam Sr.'s car with Tim Montgomery as the pilot. Just maybe with enough 360s showing up the Queen's Royal might be 360 and 410 sprints in 2012 with 1 support class to run the track in . Thank you justin and sprinted

cant anyone ever just be happy that there is racing saturday night

Nah, it's never enough for a few on here. Funny thing is they'll be there next weekend. If they will remember last year was all classes too. The Queens is always a good show, a can't miss for a sprint fan in the area! See ya next weekend!

Skoob03, bring that 360 to the Queens this weekend, SFCR welcomes all sprints, there are no cubic inch rules. Run whatchabrung!

I can say with confidence that there are a lot more 360s in the state than 410s. But most of them are not in the area and they're not going to come, especially to race against 410s. I can also say with confidence that it's hard for a 360 to compete with 410s. 100 - 150 HP is tough to overcome. I remember watching Tim nearly win a feature with Donnie Cooper's 360 a few years back. Mark Shirshekan ran 3rd earlier in the year with one. But those were two of the better 360s in the entire country. Tom Dickerman ran 2nd or 3rd with Gary Beck's a few years ago I think as well. I'm sure there's been some others that I don't know about but top 5s are few and far between. With a little incentive you could possibly get a few more. Jacksonville used to offer a bonus to the highest finishing 360 for the night. MOWA has done that as well. Just a thought.

well i think some of you have short memorys there have been two races won this year with 360's
I looked thru the results and the only possibilities I see are Tim in April or Joey at the June MOWA race. I don't think they had in 360s for those races but I've been wrong before. There's only been 4 other winners. Tommy, Jimmie, Jason Keith, and Mark. I'm fairly certain all those guys had in 410s. Which ones are you talking about?

A buddy did inform me of 3 different 360 winners in the past. Joey, Tim and Larry Dudley way back in the day. I thought that may have been correct but wasn't sure.

Marks car had a 360 when he won this year i know that for a fact.
The fact is Mark said it was a 410..:)
Farmington has never been a 410 track and hopefully it stays run what you brung. The other tracks that reward a 360 are just ripping off drivers, there is no tech and a cast iron 434 can be built so when a guy with a big motor finishes 4th and a "360" guy finishes a couple of cars back and gets more than the big motor guy did that is wrong!
I remember when Larry won and he can confirm it was a 360 and Chad Jones came up here once with a 360 and either won or got 2nd. You can run a 360 here and do good if your set up is right just like driving a 410 or even a B-Mod..

You'd have to ask Kent, but I think he had a 360 a couple years ago when he won. If you listen to Kory's on-board from the other night, you can hear that you don't need all 800 hp to win at Farmington, more about momentum and setup. I do like the open rules and think that it works for the style of track that Farmington has and is more affordable than the ASCS 360 formula. This is not the case for all tracks. Knoxville or Eldora would be a completly different story. I hope SFCR stays with the same rules. I do think that Cory will eventually need to think about another open wheel class to feed the sprints, however, some good ones have come up from the other classes or just jumped into the sprints. 305 sprints would be cool and we had a blast with them, but the cost is probably going to be more than a B-mod and the danger is higher and I'm sure some family guys out there like the safety of the big car. For the economy, I think the track is doing pretty well. It's tough out there folks!! I might cause some controversy here, but I think that the track should try to move away from judgement calls on the track for cautions. It seems to have always worked for NASCAR and last time I looked they were pretty successful. Incidents are always going to be seen differently from different people and angles. Put both cars on the back and you will have less mouthing on the message board. I've heard of a couple series allowing guys to take responsibility for accidents. If no one says anything, they both go to the back. If a guy raises his hand, only he goes and the other guy gets his spot back. It's a way for drivers to earn or unearn respect and keeps the track from judgement calls. Good luck to everyone this weekend in the Queen's Royal.

A few weeks back Mark Shirshekan was running a 410 motor, his crew guys done the swap early saturday morning. As far as Mark's motor being one of the top 360's in the country, well thats really not the case. His 360 motors are good motor's but far from the best in the country His 360 motors are 3 years ago top motors. 360 engines have came along way in the last few years.

Kent buckley won 2 features with a 360 back in 2008, one at the benton track and one at farmington. Kent also had numberous top 3 finishes back in 08 with the 360. If memory serves me right, Kent started the 2008 Queens royal inside 2nd row with his 360 motor.

I completely forgot about Kent. Sorry Kent! Outta site outta mind you know. Get that thing back out next year. You would've liked Wheatland last week.
