Question about alcohol prices and mod questions....

How much does Alcohol run at Highland Speedway? Also would a 600 gear be good for up there? I may be possibly getting my feet wet for the first time in a modified this weekend at Highland and was wanting to know those 2 things. Also about how much fuel do you guys burn in a night? Let just say hot laps, heat and feature. I don't foresee myself making a dash and hopefully i can make the feature. We talking 15-20 gallons a night? More? Less? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

tommy i use to only burn about 10-15 gallons a night but that was with a small motor

Why do the modifieds run alcohol when allmost all the top latemodel teams run gas , and have for years now?

I don't know what Highland is selling fuel for, but I paid less this year than I did last for a 55 gal drum.

As for as the alcohol to gas question, there are other reasons, but these are the main ones that come to mind.

Gas is mainly used for:
1.) Maintain setup (weight percentages) longer during a race.
2.) For longer races, gas burns slower. (Better fuel mileage)

Alcohol is mainly used for:
1.) Engine runs cooler.
2.) Low end torque off the corners.
3.) Car is lighter at end of run.
