question for I-55

If rules that were made to be reinforced,WERE actually enforced, the COSTS associated with racing wouldn't be so high that Drivers/Owners and Sponsors, wouldn't be disappointed when tracks have to cancel due to low crowds or poor car counts! ARE YOU LISTENING,SAM? Probably not....Oh well, :(

I just don't see the need to continually bad mouth tracks consistently. Mother Nature certainly hasn't cooperated on any weekend yet. Tracks can't lose money every time they open. As soon as it rains anywhere near a track as it did last week, attendance drops dramatically because a whole lot of casual fans take racing off their agenda.

As far as the ass kissing comment.. In case you didn't know, I'm in the business of helping racetracks.. Not running them down and putting them out of business.

Great Post jdearing. we need more people like you in the sport. We are here to try and promote racing not cut it down to it's knees. Times are very trying for everyone right now and that includes race promoters or track owners. If we don't watch it there will be no tracks to run at or go to. I know people are getting frustrated with all the rain outs but, it's not the promoters fault. Things are going to begin to dry out so, we can all get back to do what we love to do. Lets have a little patience's and I know all of our patience's is running thin but, lets get behind these promoters and support them before it's to late.

i agree with helping out a good cause.... what i dont understand it was alright to race that same night on the previous date... this is bs in my opinion.. last time i looked this was a racing facility...

It may be a racing facility but like someone else said previously the owners and promotors still have to make money. The decision they made about the make up date was probably the best option for them. These guys have been in and around this buisness for a long time. And once again if you dont like it, bust out your check book and sponsor or hold your own race and you make the calls.

Lucas Oil Speedway has taken and knocked down the walls and ran CORR on it. So what if I-55 takes a weekend for a cause other than dirt late model racing? At least this is guaranteed money, and it can happen rain or shine, so they don't have to worry about having to pull the trigger too early.

Put a jump in one of the straights and have a TT race or Quads, maybe a TRAXXAS Trophy Truck race..;)
